Re: New Book Coming on the Card Magic of David Berglas

My collector's edition arrived yesterday, but I can't bring myself to open it.

Maybe I'll keep it virgin and spring for the regular edition to study.

I dunno.....

Re: Genii is Shortly Going to Publish a New Book ...

Jules Lenier's Talisman is my guess. I haven't looked at my back issues in a long time but if I remember correctly each issue was about 8 pages which would make the page count around 600. I'm probably the undisputed king of being a subscriber to failed magazines - Epoptica, Hierophant, PCjr, US New...

Sounds like fun.

Ovette/Kelly Move

I thought the article in the May issue was terrific.

I especially liked the "Ovette Reverse". Like so many things, I had it in my library, but completely overlooked it.

I also think "The Clipped Ovette" has a lot of potential.

Anyone else working on this?

I picked op the Tenyo version of Scotty York's Lamp Trick last week - actually my first Tenyo tick. It's well made and I would guess actually more robust the the versions sold by Ken and Paul, although there's no obvious way to change the bulb.I originally used Beam Shot and then the original of thi...

I know this is a tough crowd and I'll probably regret posting this (and therein may lie the answer to my question). I'm just an old guy that has had this as a hobby for 50 years. I love good magic, good books and, even at this late stage, enjoy discussing new commercial items. For the past few month...

Pro-Flite

I reread David Reagal's review of Pro-Flite last night and take exception to his conclusions. This is unusual for me, as I generally find his reviews accurate and succinct. The product - it's OK, but I guess I'm missing something, as I just don't see any real advancement to the original Ringer. Sinc...

Dustin,

Let's try one more thing. At the least, it will give you info to push your ISP. Open a command window (start - run - cmd on XP)and enter (no quotes)
"tracert www.littleegyptmagic.com"

At least we can see where it dies.

Dustin, I can only think of 2 things, since you have the issue on IE and Firefox. 1. (Most likely) Steve's site is in your HOSTS file. At this point I would remove all entries except: 127.0.0.1 localhost - reboot and try again. 2. There is a possibility of adjusting your MTU, but that is rather obsc...

I also received the replacement set and am quite pleased with them. I'm certainly no expert, but I understand Stainless Steel is very difficult to work with and these are just beautiful.

I especially appreciated the forthright, no questions asked, manner that RNT2 handled the transaction.

Just a thought -

I don't suppose there's any way to actually verify this guy is who he says he is?

There's nothing in the post that is not readily available, except the "locksmith" reference - and that may be something well known to others.

With the Internet, you seldom know for sure.
