Thanks Jim, for the history. I find it all the more interesting now. Sounds like this effect should definitely have a place in the book.

For what it's worth, this is a great quarterly and these are both very good issues. Cardi is a reputable seller who packs well and ships quickly.

Channel One

Hi everyone!
I'm still trying to find issues 1, 6 and 7 of Channel One. I would greatly appreciate any leads, and to sweeten the deal I have several issues of the Minotaur that I am willing to trade. Please e-mail if you are able to help in any way.

Thanks!

I only found out about this thanks to my subscription to Genii (I am continually reminded by the magazine content that I made a wise choice of investment). I picked up the Draun Glimpse in John Bannon's Dear Mr. Fantasy, and it is equally clever (if not somewhat reminiscent of Harry Lorayne's Super ...

Memoirs of a Magic Dealer

Just wanted to offer a toast to Al Cohen for his column. I have such fond memories of my visit to Al's when my dad took me on a tour of Washington as a kid. Mr. Cohen personally attended to me and made me feel like I was the only customer in his shop (which was far from the case). It's such a treat ...

As a fairly new (and amateur) member to the forum I'm clearly out of my league here, but wanted to share a few of my own encounters that had profound impact on my life, and influence on my love of magic. I was fortunate enough, in my early teens (mid-1970's) to meet up with Hank Lee, Phil Goldstein,...

Well, if you ever do you can count on me to drum up as much support as possible (and I'll even buy two copies for good measure). Hi George.
For a book that didn't sell very well it sure is hard to find. Maybe we can convince Richard to publish a "collected works," including the additional material intended for vol 2. Okay... I know... wishful thinking (but I'm an optimist at heart).
