Re: Tom Stone: Runes of Tomorrow

Well, I just shelled out the princely sum of $2 per effect for Tom's eBook. What a great ride into Mr. Stone's brain, these bear the Stone-ian mark of being both wildly imaginative and ground in performing reality -- and there's a wide range of great material here. Thank you, Tom for continuing to p...

Mark Sicher

I just discovered the footage below of Mark Sicher -- who took first place at IBM when he was under 21 and died in his early twenties (some places on the internet have 24, others 23). Mark would have been around 19 when this was shot, and I'm struck by the genuine charm, creativity, presence, humor,...

Ha! Poor wording. What I meant was that I miss Randi's outspoken engagement with charlatans like Geller. But I do not agree it was "good sense" keeping him quiet on this story. He has shown good sense his entire career as an outspoken skeptic. The morning after Geller had failed on the Ca...

The most practical approach is to do it as a track and lip sync. Record the lines you need, and using a site like Fiverr, Guru, or Elance hire a sound engineer (quite affordable at high quality via these sources) have it distorted how you want.

Great set. And what a pleasure to see a host who can be funny and charming without fighting the performer.

Jamy was right there with him, in the moment and genuinely funny. The set had a great structure, got maximum theatrical value/impact out of the tools he was using. Excellent work.
