Re: New Edition of Shigeo Takagi's One Cup Routine Now for Sale

I bought mine yesterday. Beautiful. Well made. Priced far less than it should be.

Re: Vacation

@Richard: good point. Thanks!

@Mark. I agree. But friends and family beckon and since my next full vacation won't be for another year it does offer a comfortable get away, a nice break from the wilds of Kansas.

    Re: My Show Name (Tom Stone's challenge from his February column)

    Andres is correct. In the final panel of Neil Gaiman's Sandman issue 19, "A Midsummer Night's Dream," Puck's final lines are illustrated in such a frightening manner that it stuck with me, and I began to wonder what happened after the event's in Shakespeare's play. I had an image of variou...

    Just throwing this out there. I have been scripting a show called "Midnight at the Oberon Cafe."

    What happens after Midsummer Night? What if the fae all went out after, and the hapless barkeep has to deal with drunk sidhe?

    Lemon Box

    On page 155 of "Dunninger's Complete Encyclopedia of Magic" there is an effect titled "A New Lemon Trick." The trick as described is, in my opinion, nothing to write home about. Having said that, it is something that I am playing with, modifying the design of the box, finding tou...

    Re: Clever Title...

    Wichita, Kansas. Love spending time with Mark and Joe at Steven's Magic, but the remaining magic community is tiny, so sitting down for a session, or getting into the philosophy of magic, happens very rarely. I do perform with a couple of local burlesque/vaudeville groups, so I get some conversation...

    Clever Title...

    Good evening all. I'm Jonathan. I have been involved in magic and performing for nearly thirty years now. Was bit very early by the bug. Unfortunately I don't have an expansive collection of peers in my area, and bouncing ideas around with my dog isn't producing much and is costing me an arm and a l...
