Re: RS Loosing Steam?

I have been glad to have been part of this experiment. As has been mentioned by others some months were better than others but it has been a fun ride. I have kept each month in a binder with the props and it is fun to once in awhile go back and rediscover some of the ideas. A few idaes have beeen re...

Definitely pop into the Browser's Den, owner Jeff Pinsky is a great guy and store has a nice book selection. They are having their 39th Anniversay celebration this Sunday with a mini auction and other suprises, worth checking out if you are in the area.

Re: hank lee out of jail

Richard, as you point out there are no shortage of good conventions (yours is a prime example). For me the Conclaves were a relaxed fun weekend with a "homey" feel that I have not felt at other events. I also love Cape Cod so it waqs a great excuse to go. I am sure some of my feelings are ...

Re: hank lee out of jail

Dustin, I appreciate the balanced view you are putting forward. With these types of issues emotions and opinions will of course be varied. Yes I would attend another Conclave, have attended many conventions and still do, but consistently had some of my best times at the Conclaves. Foe me the risk/re...

Re: hank lee out of jail

I do not condone what Hank did. However I do hope he has re-aligned his priorites and is able to move forward in life. He has a wife and two sons that deserve that. Many of my best magic memories involve Hank indirectly... time spent with friends at the Conclaves, flipping through the Magic Factory ...

Re: Sugawara's Mystery Frame

Frame looks great! Very Tenyo-like. In Toronto we are lucky to have a great Brick and Mortor Shop "Browser's Den of Magic". Owner Jeff Pinsky is a great demo guy and it is fun watching him dem for casual customers. It is a real skill to show passion and enthusiasm for an item that you have...

Max and Nathan thanks for so eloquently saying what I was thinking. Re: I Join Those Banned from The Magic Cafe

Some pretty broad generalizations by Brad on who frequents the Café. I probably spend more time on the Café than here. After 40 years in magic consider myself reasonably knowledgeable on many areas and am capable of separating the wheat from the chaff on the café, as I think many are. I have seen a ...

Yes, getting it for $10 was one of my luckier days :) Tony is right, the mechanics are sinple but it was defintely designed right to do the job efficiently which is all you can really ask of most wallets. I have a decent collection of wallets and some with so called multi-functions but the simpler o...

Re: Original Lee Noble Wallet

I agree with the comments that sometimes when you stop looking things fall in your lap. A year ago I visited my local magic shop and they had a table of used magic for sale cheap. I picked up a thin plain box and opened it. Inside was a a mint Noble wallet and instruction sheets... price $10! I beat...

Have seen Kreskin live a few times and always an enjoyable evening. Once he "picked up my thoughts" in the Q&A portion which was a neat experience. I recently ordered the DVD set with a number of his shows from the 70"s, brought back great memories of watching his weekly show as a...

Thanks Richard. Look forward to reading about Mind Spinner. I love the concept of Impossible Pen but will not work for me and I have tried many variations. The pen will move to the edge when I do the "cutting" but will not move when I lift the tube.
