Re: Magical Animals

Because of the breed of dog he is and being a young fella, he requires plenty of room to run. He doesn’t appear to be doing anything he shouldn’t from what I saw in the video. Of course, biting is a problem and both dogs and cats have a tendency to do so for a variety of reasons including, confusion...

Re: Magical Animals

I know someone who has a dog with an abundance of energy and was difficult to control. So, he found a place you can call a day camp for dogs where they can run around all day as much as they want. When the owner picks up the dog, it’s exhausted and ready for a nice calm remainder of the day and even...

Although I am not from New York, I used to go there quite often back in the late sixties and early to mid seventies. I would attend SAM meetings on occasion, go to the annual Hunter College magic show, visit my magical grandfather Al Flosso in his shop and then we would go to dinner, hang out at Tan...

Exposure of the secrets of magic does bother me and I do wish it would stop. I am just being realistic. It would be great if Susan does something about it. For that to happen, she would need a connection which makes her want to do something about it. If she had that connection, she would have alread...

Re: You Tube exposure.

I had an annoying “I know how it’s done because I saw it on youtube” moment about ten years ago. I was performing for a group of teenagers and one of them yelled that out. Another yelled out to him, “No you don’t” and that was the end of that. Unfortunately, I doubt that we can control the YouTube e...

Re: Gone in 60 Seconds

I know of a professional magician who stored his custom made Vanishing Bird Cage in the trunk of his car stored in a sturdy suitcase for many years. It was rather heavy and he performed regularly so he didn’t want to load and unload it. One day, his car was stolen and when the car was found and retu...

There are large photos of every card, in color, in the book. Every back design is shown (many of which are original with DeLand)... I was assuming that what would be included would be of the card packet variety. I assumed that full trick decks would not be included. So, what we would get would be complete usable sets and maybe a few really interesting cards Deland created as individual entities.

If you set the price at $125 and had to raise it to $150 in order to include 4 decks rather than 2, I would say include 4 decks. I am sure many others would agree with that!

That’s my take on it. Something tells me that you will include 2 decks and keep the price at $125. :(

Re: Theodore Deland

I do agree that there is a limit to what I would want to pay for two more additional decks. Full color photos of the vintage cards in the books would be good enough if adding two more decks is very costly.

The question is...how much more would it cost? Richard will have that answer.

Here is something else to consider. By including the Maiden cards, you are providing functional inclusions. By adding the vintage original back design cards, you are providing historical inclusions. So, FUNCTIONAL vs. HISTORICAL is going on here. Shouldn’t this Deland set provide both aspects? If it...

If the USPCC keeps changing hands as I heard, you would think that the new owners would be willing to change the rules. Let me ask you this. Since you plan to provide two decks, maybe one deck would be (at least to some extent) nostalgic and the other functional. That way, we would receive the best of both worlds so to speak.
