Re: Copperfield Trial Over. Plaintiff Loses.

Copperfield should do a tv special again. I sure miss those. 100% controlled environment. I did get a chance to see him live in Costa Mesa, Ca. many years ago. He is a master. Got a standing ovation at the end. Agree, I fell in love with Magic because of Copperfield. I saw him as a kid and was mesm...

Copperfield Trial Over. Plaintiff Loses.

It goes without saying that invariably nothing is perfect. If I sit down to eat at a restaurant and choke on my Hamburger, is it the restaurant’s fault? It could be if something sinister happened to be in the Hamburger, but if there wasn’t? It’s not the restaurant’s fault at all but rather a tragic ...

Re: Magic's Plastic Religion: Tenyoism

Tenyo is something recreational and sold in toy stores to non-magicians. Let's not disparage faith with plastic and trickery ... and not sure folks are good with the word fetish either. What on earth are you getting on about? Tenyo is proper magic and any real magician knows this. Some of the most ...

Re: Astro-Coin: Only for the Rich Collector

It's a good thing that Tenyo prices have been dropping. I think a reset of the market helps to attract new collectors. Also you might say that true Tenyo collectors don't care what they're worth. I think speculators and greedy collectors will feel a market adjustment the most. Keep in mind however t...

The dice and credit card tricks look good.

The red dice seems to be a nod to Sugawara or is perhaps a technical requirement of the trick.

Just watched the 1963 version of The Haunting with the Wife. The film is quite good and the acting is solid, it's not your typical 60s shlock horror film. The camera work and psychology certainly inspired films like The Exorcist. I would even say in many ways the movie is rather ground breaking. The...

The only that seems goofy to me is the unfortunate imagery one might associate with the way the skeleton is holding the pencil. This is a great thread. The Haunting is a goofy trick, if not outright stupid looking, but it does look great in packaging. When you see it performed, it's very hard to take it seriously. Geometrick has fetched close to $400 or more (don't have my pricing data handy). You can't reliably consider the last couple of closings. I recommend looking at 10 samples before beginning to assess a Tenyo's value.

Tenyo started putting perforations on their packaging starting in the mid 80s. The glue problem with earlier packaging didn't have anything to do with the blister pac...

$250 for Zig Zag Cig seems like a lot but when you consider it has been now made into a 'professional grade' prop, a limited production run, and countless routines; it's not a lot at all.

There are far better Tenyo 'T's' that I think they should make, but it's not up to me!

I have always found trading to be difficult because of perceived value. Usually what you have is always perceived to be of higher value than what you are looking for. Also there is a 'Cash value' of an item and the 'Trade Value' of an item. And finally there is the 'Negotiated Value' of the deal. S...
