Re: Quiz of the day
You are right Q. ;-) Ian Fleming's Moonraker (not Goldfinger: it is another scam!) I discovered this yesterday. Can't believe James Bond can give seconds, bottoms, centers, do a cold deck, cheated in Casino Royale with luminous, and they did not show SOME of that in the movies. Can't believe they us...

Quiz of the day
Who wrote this? “Steffi Esposito,” he said softly. “That was the chap. American. Made me work ten hours a day for a week learning a thing called the Riffle Stack and how to deal Seconds and Bottoms and Middles. I wrote a long report about it at the time. Must be buried in Records. He knew every tric...

Re: David Roth on this week's Penn and Teller show
I was great to see David Roth perform on P and T. He was obviously very nervous, and if you never did a TV show you can't understand why. Besides, this show is presented as a kind of challenge, which makes things even worst. But David was THE Godfather of coinmagic, and I feel that he is a bit disap...

Giobbi's Genii Session - Deck Switch
I just wanted to mention that the Deck Switch described by Roberto Giobbi in the May issue is identical to the one I created and explained on my first DVD made by LL Publishing. At the time the Giobbi's book came, I did not care to mention my switch to him, but I think I should do it now. The reason...

Re: Ricky Jay's Congress of Wonders
Nothing really surprising here. I was really depressed because I was not able to afford this event, but was pretty sure it would go that way. My real big regret is that most of his fantastic knowledge will probably be lost forever. That's a pity because he learned the craft precisely because some pe...

Very sad news. I immensely enjoyed his work in the first "Mission Impossible" tv series. His cameo appearances in movies were always very exciting for me, and I learned a lot reading his writings in Genii. He was obviously a true expert.

Hello everybody. I made a very short movie and I posted it on another forum - and apparently people seem to like it. So, I wanted to share it with you. Please keep in mind that I don't want to compete with anybody. I just did it for fun - and I hope that you will enjoy it. <!-- m --><a class="postli...

Re: Roberto Giobbi's Card College 1 & 2 Four DVD Set Now Available for Preorder
I have finished watching these dvds and I must say that they are absolutly awesome. The choice of the tricks is outstanding, the small details explained are pure gold, the execution of the routines is perfect, and even the explanations (often so boring) are quite enjoyable. I even liked the backgrou...

I recommand also James Biss Mind Board. You can't go wrong with it because you will see the drawing whatever the lights conditions on stage - and it can't go wrong as can any electronic device.

Re: August Issue of Genii has been Mailed
This new Dai Vernon issue is - outstanding. This issue plus the "Revelation" book are the best things I read in a very long time. What is great in the "Reminiscences in Sleight of Hand with Dai Vernon" section in Genii is that Richard just wrote the exact words Vernon used in the...

I will simply say that: the Berglas issue in Genii was the VERY BEST magic magazine issue I ever read in my life. Period. Hello. I am looking for a device which was sold in the seventies, created by Karroll Priest, and called "The Watch Thing". It is described in Magick N 204 - or in The Complete Magick Vol 2 p. 284. In essence, it is a shell covering the face of a watch, so that you can predict the time secr...
