Re: A BOOK, A DECK OF CARDS & A DESERTED ISLAND

Richard's specification of the deck is very important. I've heard the praises of varnish decks but I don't have any first hand knowledge of them so I would never come up with that idea myself. Due to my imagined conditions on the island, I would select plastic cards, though I would never choose them...

Re: Magic Community in TOTAL SILENCE as Youtube Magician EXPOSES Hundreds of Magic Tricks

Traditional Magic (for lack of a better term) cannot imagine any scenario where an individual might want to know about magic methods without committing him/herself to being a performer or student of the art. This is astoundingly inacurrate. In fact I think most traditionalists run into this type of...

Scribit - New Robotic Printer That Looks Great for Magic

While the item doesn't really do more than you can do with a large digital screen, I think the physical drawing aspect provides an appeal not seen in projected images. Also, if you have canvas or paper on the wall, you can end up with a physical object that can be taken by your spectator assistant. ...

Although I suppose even magicians would have trouble recognizing the face, I would nominate Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin. I will consider him a stage performer. I think for close-up I would choose Dai Vernon. While Houdini was a stage performer, he will make it as an escape artist and spiritual debunke...

Unless you has some specific agreement stating you were willing to take the hit in case of a lost package, then the seller is always responsible. This would be a non-binding agreement but many people would abide by it anyway due to their own principles. Actually, when you buy from Ebay or through Pa...

The key is to finding decks that are "traditionally cut" by USPCC. USPCC used to cut all of their decks this way. The cutting blade starts on the face of the cards and moves toward the back. For some reason, USPCC switched this process at some point and began cutting from back to face. Peo...
