I have added the number of votes received by each board member after their names above. I will be able to publish the voting tallies in its entirety (ballots received, etc.) after the AMA publishes them first in the April AMA Newsletter.

While your father's name is not in the ad, what you provided shows that he wrote the instructions. The earliest mention I can find of this product is an ad in the November 1972 issue of Genii and the December 1972 issue of M-U-M . (But Bill Larsen, Jr. is wishing the readers a "Happy Valentine'...

I really thought this would be a pitch for Mark's great book on the pitch.
It's not, so I will do it.
If you want to learn how to pitch the Svengali deck, or just learn a great routine, buy this eBook:

Re: P&P Auction: The Collection of Edwin A Dawes, Part I
With the final numbers in, and being a colossal dork, we have done some "analysis" of the Dawes auction. There were 448 lots. Three were passed, one appears to have been withdrawn (three Mercedes Talma postcards), making 444 being sold. The total hammer price was $723,030. Add in the 20% p...

Part I of the Dawes Auction has ended, and it was a mixed bag of bargains and "holy moly!" moments. The first of the latter was a third edition of Scot's The Discovery of Witchcraft for $13,000. (Note, all the prices I will quote in this post will be sans premium.) That was quickly eclipse...

What part did either of you miss when I said he was doing a feint? So, okay, fine. That's what David was doing versus actually doing the French Drop. I said he wasn't doing a French Drop, except as a feint. Shall I say it again??? Here he is doing it, or not doing it, nearly at the end. https://www....

Oddly enough as good as David Roth undoubtedly was I noticed on a couple of videos that his French Drop had a lot to be desired. Still nobody is perfect I suppose I've never seen David do the French Drop as anything other than a feint; he would actually take the coin in the right hand Classic Palm,...
