Intellectual Property Laws and Magic
Who knew that a magic magazine would hit its stride in the 75th year of publication? Genii started off on the road to a century of publishing with a superb expose on the merger of theatre and magic; the Robert Zabrecky piece. It was followed by an equally enthralling examination of Doug Henning’s Me...

Re: Merlin Cover May 2013
Over 30 years ago "TOPS" magazine titillated us with the wonder and amazement that would be, "Merlin." Then rumors rumbled about promises unfilled and a short run to oblivion. Not until the Henning biography some 26 years later did a trickle of the truth flow. Then Genii allows J...

Mickey O'Malley tickles
Mickey O'Malley's artwork on the cover and inside of the Nov-Dec Genii "tickles my innards." There is so much beauty and devilish nuance in his Bunny, Santa and Genie, I had to point it out.

Super-Natural Levitation?
It's either too late or too early for April Fools day. What is the back cover of the July issue all about? "A completely new concept in magic that will blow you away.." this is either a magic marketing survey to quantify the true gullibility of magicians or someone making a bet that is des...

Don't forget it? How can you miss it? Jim Steinmeyer artistically embellishes the gorgeous pictures of life with the Red Unit.

Global Genii
By design or otherwise, Genii's widening perspective of the European and Asian Magic arenas is appreciated. Similar to watching BBC news, as opposed to US network news programming, the readers are getting a fuller view of the magic that is MAGIC around the world.

Re: A non-sticky situation
Matt,
David always markets quality products. He would not put his name on it if he were unsure of the results. Maybe a Genii Forum member has experience with it and could tell me the rosin's form and recommended application techniques.
Thanks for that interesting news,

Re: A non-sticky situation
Thanks Bill and Dave. I'll try cleaning and wetting the coins and see what happens. The idea about the magicians wax is new to me. It sounds like a very plausible solution. In the past, I have tried any number of commerical solutions for the hands. Progrip bowling paste was too strong. The closest w...

Mark's little secret
The patriarch of todays magic enthusiasts is Mark Wilson. Most of us have been exposed to his magic on television through our formative years. The Inside Story series in Genii has focused on yet another talent of Mr. Wilson. He is a fine and imaginative writer. Marks ability to explain the intricaci...

No doubt.
In regard to Criss's similarity to Houdini noted by Johnny Thompson, it is correct in many ways. They thrive on self-promotion, they are physically well developed and they were both momma's boy....,I mean, have extremely strong maternal attachments.

To better clarify my purchase from 1magicShop.com is to admit that I am a victim of fraud; plain and simple.
