Re: Question about ebay sales

Search "Merchant Account" or "Payflow" in the help section of eBay to find out how to set up other credit card payment options. eBay's only rule when it comes to payment is that you must have an internet credit payment option - and it needs use their Payflow process (which is fre...

WTB: Bill Nord Skull-ocation

I'm looking for an old original or one from the 60s. Not a modern knock-off. I'd like to see a photo if possible but I'll go up to $100 for the right one. PM me. Thanks.

The Art of Tenyo Blog

For any Tenyo fans... I've started a blog to show some of Tenyo's great old packaging. Not sure why I'm so keen on doing a blog but I wanted a place to put the photos. I think they did some great packaging in the old days. Check it out and please comment if you're so inclined. Oh and if you have som...

Ooo. Would love to see any photos of original ones, including the plastic. Better yet I'd love to find even an old plastic one. ;)

Re: Skull-ocation as sold by Tannen's?

Thanks. So that explains why originals are pretty hard to come by. I did not realize that it was that old.

I found a plastic one but it looks to be from the 60s or 70s. The skull is very basic and it as a simple, tiny instruction sheet. Assume its just a knock-off.

Re: Skull-ocation as sold by Tannen's?

When was the trick created? Early 60s? Was the original marketed through magic shops or sold by Nord? Tough to locate the original, that's for sure. :)

Skull-ocation as sold by Tannen's?

In the 1965 Tannen's catalog they list a version of Bill Nord's Skull-ocation. Does anyone know what the skull was made of on that version? I'm assuming that there are hand-made version and then mass produced versions, is that the case?

Re: Videos of the 2010 Tenyo Tricks Now Online

It's a fair question though they may not know. If I were an American or UK distributor I guess I'd be ticked off. Maybe by being on eBay he's flying under the radar of distributors or even Tenyo?

Re: Videos of the 2010 Tenyo Tricks Now Online

I assume its his own translation of the instructions or his English version of how the trick is done. You'd understand the legalities better than I but if someone owns a Japanese trick are they not allowed to tell you, in English, how to do it? Assume you're talking about a "translation" a...

Re: Videos of the 2010 Tenyo Tricks Now Online

Angelo's Carbone's 'Floating Card' is absolutely incredible. I was lucky enough to see a prototype which fooled me and the finished product is even better. The gimmick is a work of art and it's the sort of thing you will play around with day after day smiling to yourself as you watch the card float...

Re: Videos of the 2010 Tenyo Tricks Now Online

It would be very difficult to do a book because the company itself doesn't have most of the items it sold from the 1930s through the late 1960s. I don't of anyone who even has a complete run of every Tenyo item from the 1960s through the current stuff. I'd still love to read a history of their magi...

I'm interested in the Tannen's Catalog #5 but when I log into your store I don't get a buy button but I do see the listing. All of the items say to "contact the administrator". I want info on shipping prices. Please advise on shipping prices and how to buy.

I hear you Richard and if I can ever track a Floating Lady down I'll have a full fledged comparison. I get the gist of the FL method - and it is curious that they didn't just replicate that.

Re: Tenyo - Status of Company?

I've also been tipped off about the new items. They are a step up from last year's disappointing line. I think you're all going to enjoy Angelo Carbone's Floating Card. Ah, now I'm encouraged. Didn't know that was Angelo Carbone's. How about Shrinking Pen? Have to admit that I really like Animation...

I still have a big Tenyo collection and every year I add all the latest items to it, be they good or bad. The bad ones stay in the boxes; the good ones come out and play. They're neat things. I don't perform or anything so I like having cool little gimmicked things to show - and I just like toys an...

Re: Tenyo - Status of Company?

A Japanese seller I buy from saw the 2010 line as I said above. Based on his descriptions I wasn't too knocked out. However, there isn't any official info just previews the seller saw demoed. I see snarkiness is the same here as it is on music forums. If dislike Tenyo then I'm sure you'll be happy if the news turns out to be true. However, I love Tenyo and I'd hate to see them go. Clever toys like that are a big part of why I've loved magic since I was a kid. So it may not be your...

Just in case someone doesn't know this effect by its name: its the die with spots that turn from lack of color (white or black depending on the color of the die) to color when its dropped. Here's a (not so great) video of the effect: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

I'm looking for the original Lubor Fiedler Shock Die (Tannen?), preferably a black one. I believe that the original was weighted and that's the one I'm after.

Willing to pay $100+.

Tenyo - Status of Company?

Hi - I'm new to posting here (obviously ). Sorry if this has already been discussed... I assumed that this store posted the news to create demand for their own stock but my l...
