Re: I Join Those Banned from The Magic Cafe
Well, welcome to the club I'd say! I've been banned myself several times from the MC but I think I hold a few records of the kind. - Been banned without posting! This is top of the top if you ask me. - Banned after been insulted (and heavily, with a lot of profanity!)... without me answering! - Stil...

Re: Stevens Control
Hi all. I just ran across this thread (no one told me it existed and I don't visit genii on a frequent basis), therefore, sorry for the late answer. 1. As I don't explain/detail on the video which technique I use, I don't know how David can infer I'm incorrect. Above all, considering the speed I'm s...

Re: An Intriguing Fact Involving ERDNASE...
I didn't mean card tricks in cheating book, I meant stand up stuff in a table book. The tricks to be performed at the table make sense, the ones that have to be done standing up don't fit "Expert at the CARD TABLE". Nice point. Never thought about that! I don't know when Vernon's evangeli...

Re: An Intriguing Fact Involving ERDNASE...
Why?
Because he knew a book about sleight of hand techniques devoted to card cheating only wouldn't sell. Therefore, he asked someone to write a Legerdemain part.
It didn't work either though. Until Dai Vernon shows up.

Re: An Intriguing Fact Involving ERDNASE...
Some people are easily intrigued. I was just sharing an idea. I don't clearly see the need to bring me down a peg. @Bill Mullins. Thanks for your comments. I would be the first to admit that Ritter being ERDNASE because same introductory words in both works and heavily borrowings in other parts is ...

Re: An Intriguing Fact Involving ERDNASE...
@Bill Thanks for your comments. I agree the style of writing is quite different. That said, I don't know if you write a lot, but it's not that difficult to use different styles, it just requires practice. I couldn't do it in English, because it's only my third language and my commandment is poor, bu...

A new Arcanum volume...
Hi all, I just realized I didn't warn Genii members about the release of the second volume of my series which occurred... 2 months ago! It is quite unforgivable because the first volume brought me many customers from this place. Some of them, registered to other places, have already contacted me tho...

Re: Has the Real Work on John Scarne's Ace Cutting Been Tipped?
@jonathan,
I asked it publicly because that kind of question may be of interest for many people. I'm certainly not the only one interested by Richard's version of John Scarne's famous routine/act.
Unfortunately, like several other billions of people, I don't live in the USA.

I perfectly get your point, but maybe the cause is the way you plan to spread your pamphlet itself :).

Hi Richard,
Unfortunately not everyone can be a "Genii Convention registrant". Any possibility to get your method though?

Re: Has the Real Work on John Scarne's Ace Cutting Been Tipped?
Assuming the descriptions in various places (Fulves' booklets, Scarne on Cards, etc.) it might be possible that he was merely blocking-off the aces. Thing is that routines are rarely what people who witnesse them claim they are. Was really the routine done how it's been described? Same for "Gam...

Faro tools online
Hi all. I put online several "tools" that many faro fans may find interesting. It's an experimental page always <under construction> by nature :). I know I must add comments, help, etc. I'll do that in the future. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.arnoldmcdonald.org/code/main....

Booklet about Riffle and Faro Stacking for Texas Hold'Em
Hi all. After a long wait, I recently published a booklet I named "Riffle and Faro Stacking for Texas Hold'Em". It's the first volume of a series, called Arcanum, I intend to write about the moves in use around the card tables. It's 67 pages, metal binding, very good paper, etc. As a priva...

Thanks. Some have reached 38/40, it's pretty impressive because it's not really an easy quiz... BTW, other quizzes there: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.arnoldmcdonald.org/code/main.php?p=6100000">http://www.arnoldmcdonald.org/code/main.php?p=6100000</a><!-- m --> Thanks for playing!

Re: A small card magic quiz for you boys and girls
Yes, French. Nobody's perfect :-).
I suppose some 's are "too much"... I'd be pleased to have a good English used in the quizzes. If something is unmistakable or really hard to grasp, can you tell me?
Cordially.

Re: ERDNASE
I was talking about MY thinking (about the small hands)... Your idea is just great.
Re: ERDNASE
I don't know if such a thinking is of any value but looking at the whole set of drawings it appears that small hands have been depicted. The vast majority of figures show small hands. I've got very long fingers and I can assure you the pictures won't look the same as Smith's ones if my hands were us...
Re: ERDNASE
Hi all. Well, to me, basically, the fact that tracking back who Erdnase was has produced no convincing or definitive evidence for one century shows that simplicity and obviousness should be avoided at all cost. This "affair" is likely to be more complicated than many think. See, about me, ...

Re: Why do people think it's okay to upload magic DVDs?
Well, downloading is bad, but to me the worst of all that buzz are kids explaining, unveiling, exposing and killing Magic on youtube. I can't count how many time I've been desirous to strangle one of these young morons. I don't understand their purpose. They download? Why not (many reasons bout that...
