Re: The Jerx on Natural Double Lifts

I learned the Stuart Gordon Double Lift first from Dingle, then from Jennings, and finally from Stuart himself. I published a full description of the handling in the Derek Dingle memorial issue of Genii so I could finally give a correct description of "Quick D-Way" as Derek actually did it.

Re: The Jerx on Natural Double Lifts

Leo, Derek Dingle made up his Stud Double just because he actually used the Stuart Gordon Double Lift and was told to keep it top secret. So his stud double was created and used only when he was performing for magicians. Additionally, the Dingle sleight actually duplicates something Ken Krenzel publ...

Leo, the Duke set of cards is highly rare, accounting for its high price. I don't know of another set that early which describes card tricks of this type.

The trick was created by Bill Elliott, the guy who printed Ibidem No.16 in March 1959 for Howard Lyons. Bill published the trick, "Three Card Monkey Business," in Ibidem decades before "Color Monte" existed. The original blow-off at the end was a blank card (regular cards were ot...

It's a hard job that takes a lot of time. You must remember that "Magicana" used to contain just one trick, and the rest was commentary. When I bought Genii, without thinking I just ported over what I had done for the first years in MAGIC magazine, in my column "Inner Workings." ...

Happy to announce that Jonathan Friedman will be taking the reins of "Magicana" in Genii beginning in February. I want to thank John Guastaferro for doing a great (beyond great) job, and continuing to do a great job through our January issue.
