Re: New John Thompson Book
We are just a month or two (I believe) from sending my 600+ page book on Theodore DeLand to the printer. It will essentially be the same size as one volume of Tenyoism. And as with Tenyoism, I will be reliant on the magical community to help me get this book published through pre-orders. I believe i...

Orlando, Florida.
Because of the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, we are moving the date of the Genii Convention in October 2019 (not this year, but next year) to one weekend earlier: the 2, 3, 4, and 5th (with workshops on the 6th).

3 Copies of Tenyoism Gotta Go!
Hey folks, the Genii and family need to take a vacation later this year. To swing that, I need to sell three copies of Tenyoism via PayPal in the next few days. We're down to under 100 copies left, so if you have thought about buying it, now is a good idea! :) http://geniimagazine.com/kaufman/store/...

Re: J. Cornelius Thought trasmitter
The plastic box used by Hideo Kato when he created "MindScanner" in 1991 was a common item in Japan at the time, used for holding business cards. Everyone in Japan exchanges business cards when they first meet. So the item was not out of place or "unnatural." Cornelius took the e...

FISM 2018 in Busan, Korea
Saw this article on Alan Watson's e-zine this morning. It comes from Yonhap, which is a South Korean company that provides news stories to newspapers, and so on. It states that 39 magicians will compete in the close-up competition. I'm not a FISM expert by any means, but isn't that an extremely low ...

This is the lousy movie version of the show, which went unreleased for decades (and for good reason). It does not reflect what it was like to see the show. I know--I was there.

You are creating a false construct based on what are far more likely to have been simple errors.
Re: ERDNASE
Chris, this is really nothing but wild speculation on your part! You state, as if it's a fact, that the drawings were produced from photographs that were "flipped" (the accurate term is "flopped") and that's why the indices are not standardized.

Re: Michael Weber's "Do Your Homework"
We ran a very lengthy story by David Regal in Genii, which then turned into a monthly column, called "Speaking Volumes."
David canvassed well-known magicians for great tricks which they felt were hidden in the literature.
So, this has been done before.

The books are shipped from Michigan. Because of the mysterious ways of the post office, the books can arrive at all different times, even if two recipients live a few blocks apart. This is due to your local post offices, and what they decide they are going to deliver on any particular day. Note that...

Pretty much everyone is looking forward to these books.
And, yes, it's an expensive set. I have no doubt it will be worth every penny.

"Mondrian Knock-Off" no. Inspired by Mondrian and the movement of Neo Plasticism and De Stijl, yes.
Since our work is inspired by, but not reselling actual copies of, paintings by Mondrian, we do not fall into the category of copyright infringement.

Nonsense. Neither method is superior, and neither method will be effective if your presentation and timing fail to convince the spectator that the card was NOT near or in contact with the deck.
