I'm getting Mr. Jennings Take It Easy ready for layout. The final step, which is where I'm at right now, is putting in the corrections from the three proofreaders. You have NO idea how many times I've been over this manuscript over the past 30 years, and there are still lots of mistakes to be correc...

Performer, thanks, great to see what works in the world. Any opinion of Gary Kurtz's handling of the sleight? Kurtz's thinking, and subsequently his handling, was interesting. I have an unusual handling of the Top Change that will, of course, fool laymen. But it also has fooled the magicians to whom I've shown it. I felt it might be unnatural and asked Vernon about it. The Oscar segment honors film actors, not TV actors. Conrad's career was almost entirely in television, except for a few pedestrian films.

I'm not more worthy than anyone else. Frankly, I'm surprised I got them at that price.
When one studies Hofzinser's sleights, it is imperative to handle a deck that is as close as possible to what he used.

No finish from the printer. But the deck of Hofzinser's which he used, which I was able to play with for a few minutes, had something applied to it so it spread smoothly. Fans, culls, etc., no problem.

That would be me. In my ongoing studies of Hofzinser's card material, I have long looked for a deck of cards identical to those he used. I once held a deck he actually did use, which was put into my hand by Volker Huber. Thought it was time to own one.

It has become well known that the least reliable type of evidence is eye-witness testimony. I don't see anything that Smith said as having much value, and like most inaccurately remembered eye-witness testimony, it only serves to divert people from focusing on more valuable information.
