The little trick certainly got the attention of one Larry Jennings when he published his handling "Getting To Nine" in the July 1993 issue of Magic, An Independant Magazine for Magicians. His version has been in my repertoire for years.

Pete, I'm wondering if the guy named "Robbie" you mentioned in your Emil Clifton book could actually be the father of Robin Roberts, co-host of Good Morning America. I know she has mentioned on several occasions that her father was in fact a Tuskegee Airman.

My remembrances of Ford(Sandy)Kross dates back to Mystic Myron's Magic Shop, Mecca Magic and the John McNicholas Roundtable. I'm sure we both had admiration for each other's chosen field of prestidigitation his being mentalism and mine being close up card magic.
He will be sorely missed!

My wife and I met Carl(Polaris) at the "97 Magic On Manhattan Convention. He was always a gentleman who was not hesitant to share some of his magical knowledge with a fellow magician. My condolences go out to his family.

Most so called improvements to an existing effect turn out to be technical variations of the original. With statements like you have made above it appears that you are not only challenging the Berglas Effect itself, but also challenging the authenticity of the forthcoming book by the Master Mentalis...

The things that you speak of is art within itself and fortunately cannot be learned in ten(10) minutes or from the latest DVD offering. It most likely takes months or maybe even years to perfect "the act".
