Re: Getting Out of Jail Should be Easy - Houdini-Opoly

thanks, It is not a Monopoly type game. The correct category is a real-estate trading game that dates back to its invention and patent by Elizabeth "Lizzy" Magie in 1904. Up to the mid 20's it was a popular folk game. The NJ Quakers were the ones in that period that added the Atlantic City...

Re: TCM frees Houdini's 'The Grim Game'

We have seen the film twice during this process that we were a part of. It is complete and longer than expected. Metropolis that restored it cleaned a lot of it up. There are one or two short sections where the nitrate stock began to disintegrate but Larry Weeks had it copied to protect it. During h...

Re: Medical Magic and Houdini NY Post

All the Houdini references in the book can be found here. http://books.google.com/books?id=nk2fVp7Xgn8C&q=houdini#v=snippet&q=houdini&f=false It agrees with our controversial theory of how and why Houdini died. Most historians got it wrong because they blindly accepted Bernard Ernst's ve...

Dick Brookz & Dorothy Dietrich here. We spent an whole day shooting at 278 113 St and the nearby park. We too were ambushed, "lied" to. We were told even to the end of the shoot that the subject was "How Did Houdini Really Die? We did not like some of the things that we were getti...

Re: Bobby Baxter has Died

Without a doubt ONE OF THE GREATS! He probably did more shows for us than anybody in his life, at our Magic Towne House in NYC. He was the most skilled magician and funniest comedy magician you could ever want to see. He always improvised and as great as he was he went to many many many improv class...

Re: Broken Wand: Earl Presto Johnson

I think you will find that Presto had thousands of people in magic who loved and respected him. He was one of the kindest most gentle people you would ever meet. He was a generous and talented performer whose kind ways were amazing. When we owned the Magic Towne House for some 20 years in NYC he had...

For the record Dorothy Dietrich was on the show. She produced a dove from an empty purse, Did a routine "Can she cook?" where she produced a live poddle, and did her sawing a MAN in half with host Robert Klein that brought probably the most laughs on the show.

Re: Contacting Houdini's Ghost?
