Re: Hypercase

Guys, I thought I was done writing Hypercase . But since I created this card case conundrum and began playing with it, ideas have flowed like a crimson current from a severed artery. The final PDF will span about 30 pages. The hypercase can now be examined before and after you perform “Card to Hyper...

Hypercase

Guys, In 2006, I released The Hypercard Project to considerable acclaim. I still occasionally get orders for it and the gaffs for “Son of Hyper-Warp.” While recently doing some Spring cleaning, I discovered a box of empty Bicycle card cases that the USPCC gave me for ordering an obscene amount of ga...

I'm clueless about tech stuff. What do I do with that code? How does it magically transport a photo from my computer to the forum?

Thanks,

Gaff credit?

Guys, Two face-up cards are glued together at one short end. The rear card is your force card and it's a short card. With the gaff in the face-up deck, you riffle the edges of the deck and ask the participant to yell "stop." You raise the outer edges of the cards above the short card, allo...

Mission accomplished. Thanks guys. I now have a pile of clean, pristine card cases. But they seem to be undulating...breathing...rippling....

Re: Removing glue from a card case

I have a couple dozen Bicycle card cases. I'm trying not to buy more. When I disassemble the case, there is always some tearing or bits of paper stuck to the surfaces of the flap and the body of the case. I need both the printed and the blank side to be clean. Thanks for the methods. I'm still tinke...

Thanks for your suggestions, guys. Leonard. I tried steaming. The glue came off, but so did a patchwork layer of card, resulting in a nasty surface. Erdasephile. The heat gun is worth a try. Thanks. Removing glue from a card case

Guys, Let's say I've peeled apart/disassembled a Bicycle card case, so that it's one flat piece. What's the best way to remove the glue from the card stock? I tried swabbing the glue with alcohol and scraping it off with the tip of a butter knife. The glue came off, but the card stock looks pretty r...

Re: Packet trick creator info requested

As I mentioned, I bought the packet trick “Back Flip” or “Bacflip” in the late 70’s. I don’t recall the creator, but I know that it is not Sam Schwartz’s effect/method. That’s a different critter. Anyway, I eventually heeded Brother John Hamman’s sage advice and stopped performing packet tricks as p...

Re: Packet trick creator info requested

Brad, In the late 70's, I bought the same packet trick that employed the same method. It was called "Back Flip." The original cards deteriorated long ago, but it's easy enough to assemble the cards. Four Aces with differently colored backs and one, say, blue-backed Ace. Throw in the Biddle...

Not to be a contrarian, but the Mystery and Madness deck also lacks the gaffs for "Contrario." While enjoying the hell out of this terrific tome, I'm inserting the appropriate gaffs on the page in the book that describes the effect that requires those gaffs. I'll eventually figure out what...
