Tom Stone's "A La Puga!" - March 2013

I will admit that Michael Puga's "Card to Glass" trick in the DVD accompanying the February Genii was the first trick which had compelled me to actually watch a Genii DVD (is it coincidentally the first stand-up performance piece put on DVD? Not sure...). So I was even more delighted when ...

Re: Bobby Baxter has Died

I don't usually hobnob with great magicians, but I was lucky enough to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon in NYC with a sassy, elderly mannamed Babboy Baxter Bobby Baxter. Richard Cohn (who I had just met also) introduced us. It wasn't until a few months later that I learned who Bobby was. I would have...

Re: Jim Steinmeyer's New Book on Charles Fort Reviewed in Time Magazine

I hear rumours his next book will be on the life of Thurston. If true, it should be an exciting one. The plastic surgery, the wives, the patents...I can't wait.
