We're just one month away from our first Real Magic Roadshow dates of 2023. We have a great line up of cities and talent, plus some wonderful guests joining us along the way. I mentioned in my most recent blog post that one of the most common questions we get is, "Are you coming to - insert hom...

New Dates & Locations for the Real Magic Roadshow

https://www.realmagicroadshow.com/uploads/7/6/8/0/7680881/2023-anniversary-post-2_orig.jpg According to the interwebs, the original and acceptable gift for a tenth anniversary was tin or aluminum. The current acceptable gift is diamonds. If that doesn’t illustrate the increase in costs since 2013, ...

The clock is ticking down for our first Real Magic Roadshow dates in over two years. I’m happy to share that we are well on track to meeting all of our attendance goals and some cities are close to being sold out. We can’t thank you enough for all the support! We’re also pleased to announce that we’...

The Real Magic Roadshow Rides Again!

It's been well over two years since the Real Magic Roadshow team packed our bags and hit the road to see you. We've really missed it - and the truth is we missed you. We hope the feeling is mutual. We're joining forces again for a select few U.S. cities and if we're coming your way, we hope you'll j...

Re: Spider Vanish

Mike Gallo has an approach using a finger palm instead of the classic. In my opinion, his technique looks far less contrived and softer. When Mike does it, it feels more like the spectator discovers the hand empty as opposed to creating a "gotcha" moment.

Vic Trabucco had one of the earliest versions that I’m aware of, it may be the first. His effect “Twist” appeared in Jerry Mentzer’s Card Cavalcade II, which was published in 1974.

Wow! While it may not be the answer Pete was looking for, that is an excellent response from Curtis. I think in magic (heck, in life) we love to hold tight to simple axioms - when the truth is generally more layered. Great stuff Curtis!

Neither is Houdini in that photo above.

By the end of the act, Eric is certainly more nude than I’d ever be on stage. Hell, he’s more nude than I like to be in my own house.

But I fully understand if he doesn’t qualify for the topic at hand...

Based on what I'm seeing in the trailer, it actually seems to be closer to Jerry Mentzer's Ultimate English Monte. A trick I've used on and off for years. Jerry's effect was based on Patrick Page's Kitson Miracle. Jerry's gimmick also used no sticky stuff, no flaps, or dental dams. There is a video,...
