Re: Packet trick creator info requested

Vic Trabucco had one of the earliest versions that I’m aware of, it may be the first. His effect “Twist” appeared in Jerry Mentzer’s Card Cavalcade II, which was published in 1974.

So happy to see this! Growing up just south of the border (Buffalo, NY), The Magic Palace gave me my first chance at seeing some of the biggest names in magic. Can wait for the exhibition and the rest of the clips to go live!

Wow! While it may not be the answer Pete was looking for, that is an excellent response from Curtis. I think in magic (heck, in life) we love to hold tight to simple axioms - when the truth is generally more layered. Great stuff Curtis!

Re: Nudity in Magic

Neither is Houdini in that photo above.

By the end of the act, Eric is certainly more nude than I’d ever be on stage. Hell, he’s more nude than I like to be in my own house.

But I fully understand if he doesn’t qualify for the topic at hand...

A Little Misty for the Tannen's Jubilee

CBS Sunday Morning just did a great piece on the old school resorts of the Catskills. Watching it, I couldn't help but think about my times working the Tannen's Jubilee. It was at Kutsher's when I was going and it appears they are the "last man standing" as far the Borscht Belt is concerne...

Based on what I'm seeing in the trailer, it actually seems to be closer to Jerry Mentzer's Ultimate English Monte. A trick I've used on and off for years.
