Re: Who invented this control?

I think you read this in a book (or magazine) by Karl Fulves but I don't remember which one. I have seen "Floating Key" used in several places.... I know Mike Powers has a trick using a similar principle, but I don't remember what he called it. If memory serves, the effect by Mike Powers ...

Do you have a link to this article, I would like to read it in it's entirety, but are you sure the piece wasn't meant to be mostly humorous? The only group of people I recall being universally disliked were lawyers/politicians.

Who was it who suggested practicing while playing music, because it would help you to learn to ignore/tune out ambient noise?

You don't need a beam, almost any heavy object you can put a rope around will do. Doorknobs, plumbing underneath a faucet ....If you can't hang from something, you can always do it garrotte-style by spinning around like an alligator till it tightens., that how they do it in prison.

Who "influenced" the most magicians from that list? That's a rather difficult question! Influence in what way? If you change the word magician to writer, then it's probably Erdnase or whatever his (or her) name is. If you change the word to writer, I would suggest Jean Hugard and Frederic...
