Re: Steven's Cull
Very nice - my suggestion would be to get the book Revelations the older copy or the newer one that was just published. They may have a few ideas and tips in them. I have no idea if you want to use this card table technique for magic - cheating - or just to do for your own enjoyment. Speaking of th...

Where'd you learn this one from? The Vernon write up, or in the Classic Magic of Jennings book (incorrectly described)? If you love the Steven's cull, check out Wimhursts Kicked in the Face, which can be found on here : http://www.elmwoodmagic.com/?nd=full&key=2674 As well as in his Down Under ...

Here is a very nice take of Tony Chang doing this in "two hops". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaJos_Sn7Rc Great performance, but that was three hops, not two. -Matt Watch again / more closely. He makes the motion three times, but the card only rises twice. He does it three times. I don'...

Re: raise rise performance?
The card needs to rise more times. You need to set the stage and make sure that the conditions are understood. You are putting the card down very close to the bottom and if you watch closely you can see it slowly rise a little at a time until it makes its way to the top. If someone watched your per...

That's got to be older than Roger Klause. And I have to disagree with magicbar: if you're trying to impress someone with your Pass, then don't engage in silly things like a Bluff Pass, or a fake twitch followed by a Double Lift. Put the time in and learn the Pass. BUT, if you're out late at a conve...

If you want to make it into a more compatible file, I will throw out the website below.

It will do everything for you. My suggestion is to make it into a .avi file with DivX codec.

Re: Proteus Perfromance - Feedback Wanted
Ray, In the video, I did bring my hands toward my body. However, it wasn't intentional. In real life, I would've shifted the way I'm standing. In the video, I couldn't do that because I was sitting down. To make up for that, I tried moving my elbows which in turn moved the cards towards my body. Hop...

Matt, I meant no disrespect. You're right about the time one practices, (intelligently!), has a great deal to do with one's abilities. In addition to your ability to do an obscure and difficult sleight you're younger than the vast majority of people who can do so. All it means is . . . now we expec...
