Yeah, that's my final decision. I know his work is excellent and I'd rather give him the money anyway!

Re: Barbers, Walking and Morgans
I had thought about it but I'm thinking now that I might as well just go ahead and order some from him because I bet all together I wont save that much and it will be well worth it!

Barbers, Walking and Morgans
I have recently found some coins in a local coin shop for a reasonable price and was wondering how difficult it would be to obtain flippers and shells for the coins if I were to buy them from the coin shop and then get the shells from Lassen.
Any thoughts?
Thanks, DM.

Re: The Bold Steal
Glenn, I really like the idea of the card box. I hadn't thought of incororating another "prop" (for lack of better wording) into the effect. Nice touch. I am definitely interested in the sandwich idea. I'll check out your site. What's the address? Thanks for your feedback and help,
Matt

Re: The Bold Steal
Let me make that last one a little more clear. I've been using the side steal in general, not neccesarily the bold steal, to add an extra card atop the selection.

Re: The Bold Steal
Glenn, the four ace effect is exactly what I've been working through using the Bold Steal. I though it was a pretty cool idea as far as how it was applied in that context. I have also been using the move to add an indifferent card over a selection on top of the deck as well. Thanks for the thoughts ...

Re: The Bold Steal
Thanks everyone and, Richard, I will take your advice and look up Steve Draun. I'm about 4 or 5 hours from Chicago but for any amount of time with Draun I don't consider that far at all. I've actually gone farther for concerts! I will also check out Paul Cummins work on the move. This at least clari...

Re: The Bold Steal
This sounds much like what Jim has been explaining to me as well. The move looks like absolutely "nothing" when he performs it as well. After seeing it in his hands I fell in love with it. That's what led me to study this book. Marlo has about 50 pages of work on the subject so I wanted to...

Re: The Bold Steal
Richard, this is my first encounter with the move. I'm studying from Marlo's RCT and it is simply called the Bold Steal. There are 4 handlings that follow but they are actually effects that serve as examples of using the steal. In this move it doesn't have mention of a second card covering the move....

The Bold Steal
Hello all, I'm studying the Bold Steal as written up in Revolutionary Card Technique. I'm understanding that the stolen card is shown (back up) to the spectator under the pretense that it is the top card. Does that sound accurate?
I hope that is clear. Thanks.

"Proper"? I suppose there are others that are not so accurate then? Excellent. I will research that. Thanks Richard.

Re: Double lift mistake
Could someone please enlighten me as to the mechanics of the Gordon Double, or, at least, let me know where to find the move.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Coins....what next?
I completely prefer books to dvds anyway, so that is excellent for me. I definitely had your books in mind as a near-future purchase. I was kind of curious to see what the difference in the Roth book and the dvds were. How does the Kenner book compare as far as style goes to "Expert" and &...

Coins....what next?
I was just wondering what everyone would recommend as a nest step for me in coin magic. I have been using the David Roth videos for a couple of years and Bobo's book as well. I was just wondering what might be a next step. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Haunted Hank
Hello all, I just recently pulled my haunted hank back out after a long time and planned on using this weekend in a walk-around for some kids. Does anyone out there have any ideas on where I migh get a nice routine for it? It's been so long I erally don't remember what I used to do. I'm sure I could...

Wisconsin
Hey everyone, just curious about the Madison, Wisconsin area. I know it's not far from Houdini's childhood home and I'm gonna be there this summer for a few days. Anyone ever been there or have any advice on what not to miss?

Re: Translocation/shadow
Yes, Kennedy. I did know that Trnaslocation was his I believe. I'll have to check into his to start I guess. That would make sense. I do the chink-a-chink from Roth as well as shadow coins with the gimmick. I do not have any idea as far as the back-fire so your input will be very helpful. I was also...

Re: Translocation/shadow
Evan, I have to be honest, I actually learned the beginning idea from someone at a local magic shop and then watched John Borne perform one with an instant back-fire of the coins to thier original position and was blown away. I don't necessarily know that I want his routine, I would just like to che...

Translocation/shadow
Hey all, looking for good book (preferably) or dvd on Translocation and Shadow coins. I understand the basic concept but have not ventured into the "backfire" realm so to speak. Also, I started coind magic with the David Roth videos to begin the basics and was wondering what a next step mi...

Books
Hey everyone, I just purchased a few books from a second hand shop and happened to see in magic mag that one of them has just been reprinted and is being sold for $40. Its called "Steranko on Cards". The advertising for the book said (in short) the book could be found on ebay for $200 for ...
