Re: Bertram Cups....Value?

Hello,

I bought a set many years ago from Dr. Gene Matsuura. The cups came with Bertram's embroidered red bag. Dr. Matsuura would be a good source to find out a price. I'm sure somebody on the forum can forward a message from you to Dr. Matsuura. I hope that helps.

Re: Need Someone to Translate from Spanish to English

Hey, Richard. I haven't seen anyone respond as of yet. I guess the thought of a deadline is keeping a lot of potential translators away. Myself included, but I will help if you are in a bind. I'm a native Spanish-speaker and recently certified translator by the Universidad Nacional Autonma de Mxico....

Re: Anyone Get Magic Stuff for a Holiday Gift?

Hey fellow magi. My wife got me the first and second volume of Steve Beam's Trapdoor books! We met him in 2005 during a T.A.O.M. and enjoyed both his quick wit and wonderful magic. He also showed genuine compassion and said some comforting words when he learned that a family member of mine had recen...

Re: What are your plans for your collection?

I believe that Richard is quite right! Don't leave that burden to your loved ones to take care. They'll have plenty of things on their mind as it is. Having been an executor for three elderly family members who all passed away within a year of each other, I can tell you that you really have to be re...

Re: FS: Coin Magic and DesTROYers (AUTOGRAPHED) and 1st Ed. Slydini and more!

That was a great act of kindness from a great human being! I now have another reason to renew my Genii subscription for another 3 years when it comes up. In my line of work, I rarely get to see the good side of people. You have helped in renewing my faith in mankind. May 2011 be prosperous for you i...

Re: Broken Wand :: Glen Falkenstein

Glen was a superb performer. And even more so with his beautiful wife, Frances, by his side. It showed that he really enjoyed & loved his family, his work, his many friends, and his life. God bless his family and comfort them. Good night, Mr. Falkenstein. It was a great run.

Re: Question about "The Real Man's Wallet"

erdnasephile,

The clear plastic slide seemed a bit too thin & flimsy for my taste. I just use my own driver's license as the gimmick. It sets up easily and works perfectly. Try it.

You can send George Robinson from Viking/Collector's Workshop a quick email and ask for the instructions. He's been very helpful with me in the past and an overall great guy.

Re: Roger Klause

Each time I ran into Roger Klause at a convention, it showed in the twinkle of his eyes that he not only loved magic, but also the comrades he met along his "magical journey". He always gave everyone he met a moment of his time to chat a bit or pose for a photo. Newbies and not-so-Newbie a...
