Re: The Big Trivia game
I had time to check Lior's Big Trivia Game and I think its brilliant. If you liked Lior's Mobile Opener you will LOVE this. If you do corporate work this is a superb add-on to your show (you can either up-sell this or use it as an extra bonus to get the job), but its definitely not limited to corpor...

Re: Magic in Budapest
There are 3 manufacturers here in Hungary, the two already mentioned and Astor Magic ( www.astormagic.com ). If you would like to buy directly from them when you are here I suggest you make an appointment as they do not have a shop. The only magic shop is indeed Figaro, and as Sean wrote its near Ho...

Re: Blackpool Convention 2007 - A Great Time!
Richard, I agree with your first statement - it is very rude. Your second statement is a bit too general. I thought Shimshi's show (it was not a lecture) in the VIP lounge where this incident happened was good (at least up to the point we are discussing). In these conventions a lot of us are prone t...

Tom, If it means I have to pay so that he can protect them, and can only use them under some undisclosed conditions, then yes, I would prefer it not to be published. How much of a change to the published material would be enough (if I perform it in a different language in my own style, but basically...

It can be protected by him without us having to pay for it by registering its content. If he only wrote this book to protect his IP I find it in bad taste to make buyers pay for that. The Catch-22 is that his work can't be protected if it isn't documented

Re: Blackpool Convention 2007 - A Great Time!
I was there and felt very uncomfortable with what Shimshi did. I think he has a great show (both close-up and especially his stage act), but he did not (in my opinion) handle the matter very gracefully. The man nodding off was Bobby Bernard, and I have to say he was very restrained in his reaction t...

Just to keep things in perspective, these lower ratings were around 25%. It is much lower than the initial 35%, but still very high. In fact its much higher than almost all shows aired that week.

Hello Dustin,
It might be me, but when I click on the link on the right I only see the regular edition (without the DVD) on amazon and can't seem to find the deluxe version there.
Can be more precise?
Thanks.

Re: geller reality tv show
I think its not ok to hide the fact they are magicians by the producers (but of course they have the right to do so, and each participant has the right not to participate), but don't forget that these magicians do present themselves as magicians outside of the context of the show. Re: geller reality tv show
Just regarding the show: how could a show with Uri Geller be done any other way? Could you see him doing it if it was promoted as a competition of magicians? Its a strange loop isn't it? The show is a big hit because of Uri Geller. But with no Uri Geller, this would have been just an average magic r...

Hi Jacky,
I did give him a negative feedback (two actually). Of course he did the same (calling me a scammer). I hope it will help others and make him think twice before doing this again.
C u later as in Blackpool? Are you coming after all? I am leaving for Blackpool on Thursday.

Isn't part of what we pay for the media (cassette, CD, DVD etc.) goes as a fee to some official organization (I assume they in turn pay IP owners)? I thought this was the exact reasoning behind it - you ARE going to record broadcasted shows, and since you are actually paying for it, doesn't that mak...
