Your archive is truly wonderful and a gift to magic. However, it confirms what I claimed. It says that Harry wrote a "forward" whereas I claimed he wrote a FOREWORD. He may well have written a mere "forward" for someone else but he wrote a FOREWORD for me! So there! Ha, I stand ...

The retyping might well have been finished in 1971. As far as I could find out, the year the Notebooks where actually printed and available, was 1972. Unfortunately, a proper publishing date doesn't seem to be in them. While they were announced in late 1971 in Pallbearers Review , in early 1972 Fulv...

That shuffle force was vaguely credited in Marlo's Estimation as being in an old issue of the Linking Ring . I spent a few hours hunting it down some years ago (Vol. 26 No. 2, April 1946, page 56) and added it to the Archive listing of Estimation , and think that's the first time the name of its inv...

Denis, does Jorg use the basic procedure but with 3 piles rather than 4? His procedure uses three piles but it is a variation of the Re-Deal Force instead of the Picnic procedure. It is motivated by "ritual", of course, like every weird procedure using Tarot cards always is. Then there's ...

An exception is volume two, in which Karl Fulves's lesson on mentalism 33A was added in 1975 by Tannen's.
It's also usually worth looking at the original 1927 course, to see if what you want to reference is already in there or not.

Steve is right, using some sort of Tilt in Triumph in other ways does not have much to do with the question, which is about a specific display/convincer sequence. I do not know an older reference than Paul Harris for that.
