WTB: From the Bottom Up VHS by Jerry Camaro
Hi all, I'm trying to find a copy of the bottom dealing VHS video that Jerry Camaro released in the early '90s, NOT the A1 bottom dealing video that was released in 2001 on VHS and in 2008 on DVD by Meir Yedid. Does anyone here happen to have a copy they would be willing to part with? Thanks! Andru

From page 72 of Scams & Fantasies with Cards, "Any good seamstress should be able to do this. When they ask you why, just tell them you're a magician. (I find that answer works to justify all manner of strange behavior.)"

Re: How to date references to Tarbell
Many thanks to both Richard and Dennis. You've both been very helpful and I really appreciate it.
I forgot to mention that I do have the original course and I do check it. I was only struggling to date things that were added in the books.
Thanks!

How to date references to Tarbell
Hi all, Does anyone know how much the Tarbell course was changed by D. Robbins & Co. Inc. when it was purchased from Tannen? Or if it was changed at all? I'm trying to figure out how to put a date on references to the Tarbell course. For example, my copy of Tarbell 3 is copyright 1943 by Louis T...

WTB: Richard Turner and Stewart Judah Three Card Monte manuscripts
Hi all,
I'm looking for "Three Card Monte Fully Exposed" by Richard Turner.
I'm also looking for the Stewart Judah manuscript from which Daryl got the hipe based Judah routine on his "Daryl Does The Full Monte" DVD.
Thanks,
Andru

This sounds vaguely related to the "Telepathic Deck of Cards" described on page 245-246 of Tarbell 4.

When you say "important", what do you mean? Popularity? (used in lots of tricks/by lots of magicians) Deceptiveness? (made some move or trick a lot more deceptive) Scope? (made new effects possible) Something else? There's also the question of what you mean by "invented". There a...

Matthew 20:1-16 might also be apt, for those who are into that sort of thing. Personally, I hope that those who use this material do it justice. Some of it's been in my working set for years, and I would hate to see it butchered. I also hope that those lucky enough to get this material will not skip...

One concern comes to mind immediately. It obviously uses a gimmick. Is it going to wear out? If so, is it something that the purchaser can rebuild themselves, or will another $99 investment be required?

Relax the fingers and pretend you're pulling the card straight through the fingers. It was mentioned on the SECOND DEAL thread that there is a current trend of packaging up a bunch of tricks of type X and selling them at once, rather than making a newcomer do the grunt work of finding the classics for themselves. I've heard mention of this before, and I've heard people criticize it...

It seems awfully easy to reinvent something that already exists. I know I've done it more times than I care to remember.
