Re: Chop cup maneuver credit

It's a two part illusion to convey the ball being too big for the cup. From the book of John (Mendoza) 1978 page 107: Now after a slight pause, you produce the huge ball in the following manner. This technique is particularly strong and should not be overlooked. Grip the cup between the right thumb...

Re: Take Five by Harry Lorayne

I've been thinking. This alternate handling/effect of Harry's shared by Mr. Cohen lends itself to the pendulum nicely. Five random cards are selected and removed from the deck, and "shown" via the count. When the pendulum indicates the selection, there will be puzzlement as "none"...

Take Five by Harry Lorayne

Fellows, I've always loved Take Five by Harry Lorayne. It is published in Jawdroppers (and I believe in Personal Collection- could be wrong) It is a great trick and I've always done it exactly as taught- going for the miracle- as Harry recommended. However, recently, I am doing this as a mentalism p...

What's Mine is Yours- Hartman

Hey folks. I've been going through Trickery Treats by J.K. Hartman again. I've rediscovered an old gem. It is a quick, magical item called What's Mine is Yours. It can stand alone as a chosen card discovery but I love it as an interlude between effects. Harry Lorayne's 'Your Favourite Card' has alwa...

Frank Thompson's E-Z Cut Aces- Jennings

Hey guys- just thought I'd share again. This time it's Larry Jennings' handling of Frank Thompson's Ace Cutting sequence known to most knowledgeable cardmen. I really like LJ's treatment here and it can be found in what might be my favourite card book of all time- Mr. Jennings Takes it Easy by Kaufm...

Perhaps I'm using the Gogle ngram incorrectly, but when I put in "more bosh than" (without quote marks) for 1880-1920, with American English I get no results, but with British English, at least some results, albeit very low. I don’t want to derail after a couple hundred pages, but, there ...

Gents, Miser's Cornucopia from Roger Klause in Concert is a long time favourite. I've just discovered an identical effect in a Fank Garcia book called Fair Exchange credited to Neil See.
