Re: Shin Lim cancels in Vegas

I think this thread serves a very important point in time. Several years back, we called certain close-up performers . . . jugglers. Now through the evolution of time and sincere opinions, we now have a name of this type of performance . . . Cardistry. It fits, it's correct and it's here to stay. I ...

IMO . . . I think part of what helps is that he uses Todd's coins. That coupled with dollar sized (weight) I believe plays a partial role in this.

Re: Shin Lim cancels in Vegas

Shin Lim’s magic is designed to be experienced on a screen. It’s ideal for Instagram. He deserves great credit for being a master of that venue. But it doesn’t play on a stage for more than about 5 minutes. I’ve seen him live - and without that screen it’s just a guy who’s throwing [censored] behin...

New Expanded 3t Book Request

It’s been 10+ years since the release of the 3t coin book on the Triple Threat Coin Gimmick. Since that time, the original book has gone out of print. Over these 10+ years, there has been new material that has been created since that time. I am currently in the process of gathering new material as I...

I've broken the effects down that utilize gaffs and which gaffs they are. I was surprised by just how few gaffs are needed and/or gaffs that are simple to make or we as magicians already have. Here is a list of gaffs needed that we already have or a bit of glue and you can make them at home: - Doubl...

Perhaps a business model where a new hardcover is released first, then the ebook a year later, might be perceived as more "fair". I doubt that will mute all the criticism, but it could be argued that that procedure would be akin to the hardcover/paperback schedule of the non-magic publish...

Agreed . . . if they issue ANY of these 5 books in ANY other form . . . then the release of only 500 of each of the 5 volumes only became a marketing scam. :-( That would only speak volumes of any company's ethics. I certainly hope this doesn't "all" come down to money!
