Will Ayling also wrote a small treatise on the Rising Cards. He includes some very modern methods.

Interesting thread. I simply reverse selected card on the bottom, turn over half the deck and bottom deal under the spread. Finally turn over remaining half and respread.

This is an item released by Ken Brooke. I believe it works almost the same as the Allerton case published in his closeup book.

I have a question similar to the OP

There was a guy who worked my high school every year. One of his big tricks was producing silks from a chrome plated box with the extra load. Can anyone tell me his name? Thanks ahead of time.
This was also in the late 50s. I was guessing it was Leon.

Guest Funny you should mention John Swink. I also bought one of his cases. The case was beautifully hand tooled with a Western motif. One of the finest props I've ever owned. He never told me it was Martin style reel.But I paid a whopping 50 bucks!
