Re: T.I.T.S.
T.I.T.S. is also the acronym for Trix In The Stix, an annual convention for children's entertainers in the U.K. Highlights from a few years ago and its ethos hasn't changed. More fun than most conventions  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wZRd_RG7GI Great link and I LOVE the British and thei...

I know there’s time left for the price to go up but this is currently a ridiculously low price for such an amazing labour of love.

Fake Psychic - Lamar Keene BBC Radio Documentary
If you can get past the awful accents adopted by some of the actors, this is an interesting multi-part documentary well worth a listen: https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjQxbrzq5D7AhUrQUEAHbWxA20QFnoECBEQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.b...

Re: Ricky Jay - his legacy in the world of magic
What makes magicians so special? I mean, seriously..? All human activity is full of arseholes. The only thing that makes magic special is that it is YOUR field of activity, you think that YOU are special and therefore you extrapolate that your peers are particularly different to the rest of humanity...

Re: Have you ever experienced the "Yips" performing magic?
When Tommy Cooper died Paul Daniels bought some of his scripts. He was amazed to find handwritten notes pointing out various pauses, looks, raised eyebrows etc. Really important to keep notes of those details. That’s really fascinating. To think that something that looked so effortless, natural and...

That’s exactly the point - what people perceive him to be is /not/ a magician but actually some sort of psychology expert. Thus it’s folly to judge him within the criteria of how a magician should behave. Uri Geller doesn’t do magic tricks for his friends either. Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't D...

Mark Lewis was right when he said that the sound of your voice is crucial to how you connect with an audience. Every great magician has a great voice. And every poor magician has an annoying bland voice. There is a 100% correlation. Having a great voice does not make you a great magician alone. But...

I find it's more likely to split in the right way if I follow forward - parallel to the surface of the table - with the knuckle of the right hand, after the 'coin' has been thrown; sort of dropping the coin off as the hand moves forward.

Probably most likely that they thought that it would be a good joke for Ron Burgundy to be a fan of the support act for the Beatles debut on the Sullivan show rather than the Beatles themselves, and engineered the gag from there.
