Re: Help with Piedrahita's CSB please

It’s actually easier to get the knack of making half dollars split than full dollars.

Re: Help with Piedrahita's CSB please

I find it's more likely to split in the right way if I follow forward - parallel to the surface of the table - with the knuckle of the right hand, after the 'coin' has been thrown; sort of dropping the coin off as the hand moves forward.

Re: Ron Burgundy On Stephen Colbert talking about Fred Kaps

Probably most likely that they thought that it would be a good joke for Ron Burgundy to be a fan of the support act for the Beatles debut on the Sullivan show rather than the Beatles themselves, and engineered the gag from there.

Re: Bruce Cervon's Castle Notebooks Volume 1

The Castle Notebooks were an information dump. They were literally dumped on the market, without the care and work necessary for readers to appreciate what's in them. They were grotesquely overpriced to begin with, so that colors people's perception of their value. Are they worth it? Absolutely. Bu...

Over a decade on, did these books prove to be the priceless gems they were marketed as? eBay and the lack of any mention of them would suggest not. eBay?...... I don't think that means a thing!. Wonderful interview with Teller about many things; including the utility of card tricks, the philosophy of love, and a moving tribute to Johnny Thompson.

Returning to the Magic Rainbow pricing, I can only compare it with the pricing of Mnemonica, a similarly important Tamariz work, when it was released by Stephen Minch. I refer you back to my post above. Let me add: Mnemonica is a book of tricks. The Magic Rainbow is a book on creating magic. Yes, I...

Re: The Magic Rainbow

In the case of The Magic Rainbow, it is a book that truly broadens all pathways into the construction and performance of magic. It's like an inexhaustible fountain that keeps giving. Few books reach that goal. No one is doubting the quality of the contents of the book. If there ought to be a direct...

So to suggest this book might ‘set a precedent’ i...

I can only look to other niche hobbies of mine and the pricing of similar books with similar overheads. There is no comparison.
