Isn't it pretty obvious. Derren is a fan of The Jerx site — and they're both fond of a good old-fashioned wind-up.

Mark Lewis was right when he said that the sound of your voice is crucial to how you connect with an audience. Every great magician has a great voice. And every poor magician has an annoying bland voice. There is a 100% correlation. Having a great voice does not make you a great magician alone. But...

Fantastic news that the last pair of books is being worked on. I missed out on the first two volumes when they were initially released. After much hunting online - and I mean, much hunting - I eventually found them, and at a really good price. Amazingly, from what I can tell, they still have some fo...

I find it's more likely to split in the right way if I follow forward - parallel to the surface of the table - with the knuckle of the right hand, after the 'coin' has been thrown; sort of dropping the coin off as the hand moves forward.

Probably most likely that they thought that it would be a good joke for Ron Burgundy to be a fan of the support act for the Beatles debut on the Sullivan show rather than the Beatles themselves, and engineered the gag from there.

The Castle Notebooks were an information dump. They were literally dumped on the market, without the care and work necessary for readers to appreciate what's in them. They were grotesquely overpriced to begin with, so that colors people's perception of their value. Are they worth it? Absolutely. Bu...
