I remember reading somewhere that, as I said earlier, he'd come to the same conclusion about what constitutes a 'natural' double lift. Can't remember where though.

If the gaffs can be easily DIYed with a regular deck and simple materials, I would rather the decks that come with the book to have the appropriate period vibe.

I think it was a decent thing he did by changing the name. We no longer live in the age where something from another country is de facto 'other' and automatically qualifies as not of this world. The times have moved on. In some ways.

The Daily Mail is an appalling rag that has absolutely no regard for truth or morality. It was (in)famously a supporter of Hitler and the Third Reich and it hasn't changed much since.
