Re: Bachelor-party stripper card revelation

Pete,

If it's not betraying a confidence, what "magic friend" was wonderful enough to do such a thing and how do we get him elected to the presidency of the IBM, SAM or USA for that matter?

Re: Houdini Still Isn't Dead

I think it would absolutely rock if they dug up the coffin and the corpse was gone!! Now THAT'S an escape.

Better yet, David Blaine comes out of the coffin. Coffin has to be more comfortable than a glass box, right?

May 2000 Genii

I just got a call from a buddy who needed a copy of the May 2000 Genii. I'm certain I have it, but I don't catalog these as I probably should. It will be much easier to find if I know who or what is on the cover. If someone who keeps their old Genii neatly organized (unlike me) would post that here ...

Richard,

Thanks for the reply. I had thought that was probably the case but was holding out hope the hype was justified.

The value of Garcia's sponge ball encyclopedia

I've never seen this book. Other than what its cover reveals, I have no idea what's in it. Here's what puzzle me: why does this book consistently sell for over $100 on ebay? We're talking about sponge balls, not esoteric card work. I've never heard someone referred to as "very underground in th...

For whatever my 2 cents are worth, I saw Eric lecture one or two years ago at Denny Haney's in Vegas. Great lecture full of practical platform magic that can be done virtually anywhere. A must see.

Custom Svengali Deck Supplier

I'm looking for a source for custom printed Svengali decks -- that is Svengalis with custom-printed backs.

If anyone knows of sources, please email me off-list.

Thanks.

On page 125 of the Notebooks, Cervon wrote of Vernon's theory on Del Ray's blackjack deal. Unless I'm totally wrong on Del Ray's work, Del Ray completely fooled Vernon with this.

Would love to hear comments on this topic.

Andrew, Saw the show. Was one of the more interesting episodes. Was wondering about two things .. Given the fact that going into this experience you knew the producers could play as fast and loose as they wanted to with the final broadcast, why did you take the risk of doing this? What was the antic...

If it slides easily on a cigar and disguised with a label, it could be used make it look like a cigar is being pushed into something, like the cigarette up the nose gag.
