I believe he only watched the third DVD.
The auction has closed with 12 "watchers" and no bidders. I think he's going to put it back up on eBay for $300 "Buy it Now".

Berglas Effects Book for Sale
If anyone's interested, there's a copy of Berglas Effects for sale on eBay - starting bid $250. I'm not the seller, but I know who's selling it. It's in "like new" condition. Two of the DVDs have never been opened and the third one was only watched one. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="...

Equally, Steve, if you didn't want people to know you lack experience with managing real people why did you write it, and why are you now reacting so poorly? For the record, I happen to know that Steve Hook has performed for "real people" literally thousands of times over the past 30 year...

Guess my age is showing, but I think magic trailers have gotten a bit ridiculous. I've seen a few lately that made me laugh out loud. I ended up turning them off before I even saw anything that resembled magic. IMO, the best magic trailer I've seen lately is Bro Gilbert's (any relation?) Deep 3 trai...

Re: Anyone Get their Set of True Astonishments Yet?
I've been a PH fan since the late 70's, so I'm not exactly impartial. But, I think the production, design, music, non-verbal explanations, and interviews are all first rate. It took me two weeks to watch everything including all the easter eggs, and I felt as if I was on a long, magical journey. I'v...

I agree with Dave. This is a wonderful book. I had forgotten how great the script is to the "41 Cent Miracle" on Michael Ammar's ETMMM. And, I just might have to try David Regal's "hotel" presentation for his Disposable Deck.

I would have killed for the Ammar "ETMCM" series back in the 70's and 80's. I actually had to read and sift through all those books to find the real gems. It was hard work, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. :-)

Yes, Bikes and Tally Ho are identical in finish... Linoid and "Air Cushion" basically mean nothing. Strangely, the two brandds use identical stock also. Knowing the truth doesn't stop them from feeling somewhat different in my hands though. Brad C. For what it's worth, I compared the three...

I stand corrected. Sorry about that. I wasn't aware that cards in the UK were mostly bridge size. I do think there's merit in the idea that working with poker size cards enables you to handle any size deck though. But, Pete's right. Lay people just don't notice. I believe most professionals use poker size. And, most gaffs come in poker size now. Personally, I like Taly Ho Circle and the ever-popular Bicycle Rider Back cards, of course. However, the Tally Ho's seem to feel better and are not prone to warping, at least in my experience. At the risk of soundin...
