Re: Information on Jack Pyle

Jack performed at Abbott's Get-Together in 1978, I believe, doing close up including his punch deck. He was billed as the Punch Deck Pro for magicians. He was a kind and generous man in my experience, once loaning me his punch deck to perform for Muhammed Ali and I had no idea what was in my hands a...

Re: Cantu in Laurel & Hardy short

Thanks for the post it was fun to see. Certainly a Cardini influence as 1931 was a popular year in his career, the unknotting silk looked very much like the one Dick used too. Wasn't there another Laurel and Hardy film where they performed some magic other than "A Haunting We Will Go", a C...

Re: Has anyone received "Subterranean Deceptions" yet?

Having seen the advertisements early, I got mine at MAGIC Live. It's a great DVD that I would recommend. Seven routines all well worked out, Mike teaches the material in an easy to understand fashion. If you're lucky enough to see him live at the Castle it all looks the same as the video. I'm sure y...

Re: What should I see in Las Vegas?

As everyone will attest Mac King's show is wonderful for all audiences, I just saw it this weekend with some new material and loved it.
Also recommend an aerial tour of Grand Canyon, spectacular!

The YouTube video is coming up as private, is there a pass code or has this been taken down already?

Wanted: Bill Baird information

Does anyone know if any film or tape exists of Bill Baird performing his wonderful billiard ball routine. Certainly he was one of the finest and I have yet to find a nice detailed description/review or video. Many of his friends are around and I would love to hear from them. Everyone says he was a v...

McBride rubber band star

Does anyone remember a Jeff McBride trick where, with a single hand, a rubber band is stretched to form a star? I can't remember the issue so if anyone knows could you please remind me. Thanks.
