Re: Musings from Blackpool
Now I just read that one of the dealers had Covid! I also read that John Archer complained on stage that there were far too many people without masks in the dealers room! Oddly enough he was called on to do his lecture because the original lecturer dropped out. Why did they drop out? Covid of cours...

You were missed Richard, well by me anyway ;-)
A slightly quieter Blackpool, possibly because of the forthcoming FISM.
The stand out highlight for all being Yu Ho Jin I guess.
For me, I loved seeing what Chad Long and Michael Weber had to offer. It was a fun weekend.

It's easy to seem the fool in front of a classroom. I give the kids about two minutes to figure out what sort of "talent" they have given the film crew etc.
I admit I am thick but what does that mean?

Re: The Magicians come to BBC One on Saturday nights
Reading between the lines I think there were some non magical TV execs at the top over-ruling some of the magical input from other areas. Hence it was at times badly shot or edited. A Million Dollar Mystery style effect had a lot of the mystery removed because we were kept on a front shot for virtua...

Interesting points made but is misdirecting someone the same as fooling them? I could be misdirected during a card under glass routine but I don't think I'd be fooled. I would realise that I just hadn't seen the magician palm and load the card under the glass as I had looked at the wrong thing at th...

Re: Walkaround Design Duplication
Place it into a peek wallet, or a 'sight unseen' type wallet. You can even place it in the wallet and steal straight back out onto the card pile.... many options where you don't need to appear to be still hanging onto it. Quite a few options for obtaining an impression from the card too?
