Re: Your Views on Cups & Balls and One Cup Routines

Speaking of the false explanation. It was at the first Genii Bash where Bob was a performer and taking court in the lobby. One of the TX guys got me into a discussion of the cups and balls, and I mentioned I didn't care for the false explanation. I'm not sure if it was Gary or Jared, but they sugges...

For a somewhat different approach, in the Paul Harris books, he does a "one cup" routine with a small sausage can.

Re: Bicycle playing card quality

Over the years I've seen many different Bike issues. From bad cuts, oddly colored backs, court cards with horrible color, and whatever else they could come up with. But with all the gaffs and gimmicks out there it somewhat makes Bikes a standard of sorts. Easier to stick with one back design over ri...

Mark the vision might tie into what's going on with your insulin levels, you should get checked out. I know it's not pleasant, but the alternative may be even less appealing.

Re: Why don't you attend local magic clubs?

I don't have one nearby, that I know of. When I saw Goshman lecture he thought they weren't worth the time. Not sure if this is on video or not but the story went, he hadn't been to a club meeting in many years, and when he did they were doing the same tricks in the same sloppy way. I'm sure not all...

There are a lot of originals out there, some funny, some not so much, but that's personal preference. Jack Benny is another with his own style.
Very few could get a laugh with their arms folded across their chest and staring off into space without saying a word.

Irv Weiner's niece at the Castle

Irv's niece will be visiting the LA area from 7/24-7/30. She'd love to visit the Castle as Irv was a member. I didn't know if someone could sponsor her or how it all works. There could be up to 5 in her party.
