e.g. Life magazine June 8 1942. Scarne provides cautionary advice to new recruits.

I'm sure I'm not alone in wondering over the fate of Doc Nixon whenever I light upon his name.

Has anyone looked into this mystery recently. Are there unknown pockets of scholars in Erdnase-esque searches for closure?
