Re: Close Up Practice Mirrors
I bought, and I am happy with the 3 Way Mirror by Sean Yang from Vanishing Inc. Note: it is a flexible mirror so it will not provide a perfectly sharp reflection, but it is very light and practical.

What kills me is the fact that we have not received the instructions to the bonus item for those who pre-ordered before a certain date. The effect sounds incredible and the prop is in my hands. I'm unceasingly amazed at magicians' absolute willingness to take it in the shorts and then make apologies for the seller / producer. I'm a fair guy and understand problems happen - some worse than others. It takes MINUTES to write a quick email to a list and update customers. Silence is inexcusabl...

Re: The Works
I have no doubt Michael and Tim will deliver. I prefer they take the time they need and get it right. Same goes for the Journal of Psience, I prefer Michael to release something worthwhile as opposed to some lesser effect because he feels pressured to release a new issue. Losing someone can slow you...

Wow! I also had no idea he was still alive. I remember seing him as an early teen almost 30 years ago at a magic convention and he could hardly get up a few steps. Well, I hope both projects are posted here one day so that I can judge for myself if it is of actual interest to me or just the hype marketing machine. This reminds me of a thread on the Magic Café linking readers to a demo video of some Aldo Columbini trick where all that was shown was some cheering.

I spoke with Daryl last time I saw him at a lecture about 5 years ago. As his lecture was mostly very accessible stuff from his Fooler Dooler material, I asked him if he still performed his card routines from his two classic books. He answered something along the lines of: "No. I have enough st...

Vernon's personality trait discussed above gives me the impression that he was a very manipulative (no pun intended) person. For those of us who only know him from books, he looks like a wise kind grandfather. However, Based on the above, I don't get the impression he would have made a great friend.

You might want to publish the Jennings book before its fan base dies or grows to old to care after all these years. I see a lot of magicians in their 60s selling off most of their magic book libraries. I wonder how much demand exists for Jeninings in the younger demographic. You are potentially leav...
