Thanks for the tips, I appreciate it! I'll try loosening them up a bit, as you recommend. I'll also investigate making them myself. I had always assumed that it would be too hard to make good quality ones.
Thanks!

Hi,
The one in question is from David Cresey Products. I've had this batch for a few years (since I don't perform often).
Thanks,

Odd difficulty with mouth coil--am I doing something wrong?
Hi everyone, I'm an occasional performer: I did two (successful) shows for kids last year. I did half of a show yesterday (I split the bill with another local magician), and it was a lot of fun. I have a mouth coil routine that goes over very well, but had a problem with it. While pulling out the mo...

Re: Bob Brown Passed Away this morning
Bob Brown was one of my favorite people in the world. For a while we traded magic lessons for computer help, but he almost never asked me for computer help. An unequal trade perhaps, but a sign of his generosity with his time and talents. I'll miss Bob.

I should clarify--as much as I am interested in reading Bob Read's work, I'm curious about the original 1909 article that spawned so much research.

Arthur Watson's article
In the article on the LA Conference on Magic History, it states: "... his attempt to research the author of an article on conjurers on which every other author, since 1909, has relied." What article is this? Where can I learn more about the article? Can I read the article somewhere? Everyo...

On the back jacket cover of my copy of Classic Collection, I see a younger Harry Lorayne. Large glasses, a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. He's doing an in-the-hands riffle shuffle and the cards are face-up. He looks like he could be standing behind a counter in a magic store, but that's just a ...

Re: Multiple Magazine Subscription Question!
I agree with Dustin--it depends on your needs (or perhaps wants). I have less money to spend on magic these days, and less time to read. (It often takes me two weeks to read all of Genii. I probably need to get a serious caffeine habit so I can do more stuff.) Therefore I only get one magazine, Geni...

I showed the wand to my daughter, who is 16 months old. She loved it. I kept rolling it up and giving it to her to throw. She would throw it or paw at it, and it would suddenly expand into a full-sized wand, making her laugh. It was great. Thanks! I'm thinking of buying a bunch to hand out to kids t...
