I think people may be confusing mentors with teachers. Two different things, though they may sometimes overlap.

Re: THE REAL DEAL - A Magician Prepares by Dennis Loomis

As I look over my review, I see that I wrote the book comes in ebook and ePub formats. That should read PDF and ePub formats.

I sent the pdf to https://www.doxdirect.com here in the UK to have it printed and paperback bound -as I did with both volumes of The Paradigm Shift.

Re: Slydini's material

I don't understant. Slydini and Andrus use the same kind of pin, so why do you judge Andrus superior ? Is it in the routining ? The Slydini pin gimmick is different from the Andrus one.. Garton Bloom made a couple of additions to the Slydini gimmick, but his routine is basically the same as Slydini...

THE REAL DEAL - A Magician Prepares by Dennis Loomis

THE REAL DEAL A Magician Prepares by Dennis Loomis Dennis Loomis was one of magic’s general practitioners. Like with Alan Shaxon, Karrell Fox, Billy McComb, and Johnny Thompson, if they phoned and asked, “Can you do X, Y or Z?” the answer was, “Yes!” Then they figured out how to do it. And Dennis d...

There's another book (about 20 pages) of Slydini material that never seems to get mentioned. It's Slydini's Linking Rubber Band Mystery by Alma Ritchie (Bluestone). Googling has not resulted in any information on Alma Ritchie. The routine is structurally a mirror image of Slydini's Linking Pins, wri...

Re: The Jerx on Natural Double Lifts

I kind of wish we'd stop talking about the mechanics of the double lift so obsessively, and pay more attention the management of the moment. The best description of which, I think, is in Diverting Card Magic by Andrew Galloway. If memory serves me correctly, this is the double lift he suggests, as ...
