Re: Golden Buzzer!

How lovely! Congratulations, Mark. (And only Mark Lewis can get a standing ovation going down the stairs.) We all get to say that we knew you when. I just discovered yesterday why I got a standing ovation going down the stairs! I had a closer look at the video. Misdirection! While everyone was watc...

For some reason muscle reading and hellstromism is quite common among Russian mentalists. Of course the most famous one of all was Wolf Messing if anyone wishes to look him up. I actually own his biography written by Tatiana Lungen.

I keep getting a psychic vibe of the expression "who cares?" Maybe some fraction of the current readership? Please don't tell us you got into magic or "tarot reading" to meet girls/women (or guys). Actually, that would be fine and understandable if you did. Maybe just a generati...

There is a Harry Lorayne trick I have been doing for years. I do not use the four burglars presentation but there is nothing to stop me if I wanted to. I came across this review on the internet. The first little paragraph gives a clue to my own personal philosophy regarding magic which is to let them underestimate you and then you go in for the kill! I find that far better than starting off all slick and professional! Not for everyone of course but...

I actually met him once many years ago. I was strolling through Harbourfront in Toronto and bumped into Tom Ransom who was sitting with him. I spent the afternoon with them. He never did a card trick once! Or even referred to card magic!

Canada's Got Talent

If you live in Canada you will have the great privilege of seeing me perform on this show tonight. I believe there is another magician on too. City TV from 8pm to 9m is when the show is aired in Toronto. I am not sure about the times in other parts of Canada. If you live elsewhere I think you might ...

It is astonishing stuff but perhaps not too practical in the sense that there are very few venues where you can do that kind of thing. Great for TV but I don't really know where else you can do it.

I suppose it is slightly awkward until you get used to it. You need a bit of strength in your fingers when you do it. Don't use a stiff or a new deck.

I have done many shows for seniors. However, it seems that you may be talking about close up magic and that is a different thing altogether. I imagine the best thing to do close up for that age group is something visual so they don't have to think too much. For stand up shows I think the ideal is to...
