Re: Elwin Peck aka "El-Wyn"

Ali-Din was definintly a man according to the newspapers of 1928-1929. He was billed as " the man who sees beyond". His picture shows him wearing a black suit, white shirt with black tie and a white turban on his head. He was known for driving a car blindfolded around each town he visited....

Re: Elwin Peck aka "El-Wyn"

Diego,
The obituary for Elwin Charles Peck did mention that he and his wife were involved in the automotive industry in California but the spelling was so mangled that I didn't want to post erroneous info. Was he also Ali-Dins? Roy McIlwee, Scranton, Penna.

Re: Elwin Peck aka "El-Wyn"

There was an Elwin Charles Peck born 1902 in Salt Lake City, Utah and died April 28, 1956 in Pico, California. This was reported in the Deseret News (Salt Lake City) in 1956. I'm not sure this is the same guy. Not much mentioned about his life other than he married Pauline Peterson in Portland, Oreg...

Re: DEREK DINGLE'S Slow Motion McDonald's Aces

Does anyone know if Lance Pierce has any published work on McDonalds Aces? I think he had a video on YouTube a few years back but it may have been taken down. "Another Four-Ace Trick" may have been the title.

Re: Best McDonald's Aces Routine

Bob, Thanks for the great work on the "McDonald's Aces". I've always preferred Derek Dingle's handling from the 2004 December issue. Your vanishes and displays flow smoothly and fit my style perfectlly. Thanks again.

Derek Dingle's "McDonald's Aces mentioned above can be found in the December 2004 issue of Genii Magazine. It is a great handling of that classic effect. Check it out.

Re: ERDNASE

Jon, I'm not too sure if Houdini and Twain were traveling in the same area in 1900 but I do know who was. Edwin S. Andrews and the infamous Blonger brothers of Denver, Colorado. Andrews lived at 17th and Stout in 1900 which was the absolute epicenter of the Blonger crime dynasty.

Re: Copag 310 Slimline cards

There is a considerable difference between the Copag 310 Slimline and regular Copag 310 cards. The Slimlines are thinner cards and handle very nicely. For those interested the cards are identical and there is a slight difference in the card case design. They seem to be out of stock everywhere.

Copag 310 Slimline cards

I just got a few decks of the Copag 310 Slimline cards and really like them. The jury is still out as to giving up my Tally-Hos. Any opinions on these cards?

Re: DEREK DINGLE'S Slow Motion McDonald's Aces

The trick looked great in Dingle's hands. Just the right combination of gaffs and sleights. Watching him do a Stud Turnover and then steal the gaff under the packet (so you don't have that discrepant change of the face card of the packet) was an eye-opener. @Paco, Bob Kohler did something like that...

Re: DEREK DINGLE'S Slow Motion McDonald's Aces

The December 2004 issue of Genii Magazine has a version of Derek Dingle's "Slow Motion McDonald's Aces described by Christopher Hanna. In a previous thread there was some confusion about a half pass being performed in this version but there simply is none. It's as clean as can be and the vanish...
