If you want to know how to do Bill in Lemon , just click the button for an explanation on the side-bar. BTW, I try to reach out to people that do this sort of thing to ask them to stop. I made a comment on youtube last night asking a dude to take down his "explanation" of the Destiny Deck...

Yes, but what are you going to do about your beloved sponge rabbits? I confess I haven't looked yet but I bet ten to one there is some horrible teenage "magician" straight from the magic camp exposing it on You Tube somewhere. In fact I am going to have a look now! Performer, here is a de...

Re: USPCC Purchased by Cartamundi

In my experience with other companies that have made similar acquisitions there has been change but that change happened over a period of time, not all at once. The parent company generally tells the acquisition that nothing will change and that they should relax and just do what they had been doing...

Re: USPCC Purchased by Cartamundi

USPCC is a small part of a much larger company. The parent company has had a strategic plan to divest itself of certain companies. This is quite common in the industry right now. A former employer of mine is doing the exact same thing right now. They are a global behemoth and acquired a number of co...

One other thing John is known for is his willingness to discuss (with any purchaser) anything they might be having questions about from his publications. Obviously the contact information in the older works are null and void, but if you can find him on the web, I'm sure he is still happy to help. I ...

I haven't seen John in years, but for awhile he lived in St. Louis and at one time ran the Devoe Magic Den after Gene Devoe passed on. John was an incredible technician with cards, coins, etc., but I think his best attribute was his mind. He had the knack for recognizing a good trick and working on ...

Everytime I seen Marshall he would invite me and my daughter to his home. We spent a good portion of the day in his basement which was an actual museum of his career and products. It was fascinating how much he had collected and was very well organized. Marshall was very kind and generous. He loade...

Re: Last magic shop in New England closes

It is a world of instant downloads and mail order now. If you want those two shops to survive, visit and more importantly BUY something. If not, they might be following suit. Many magic shops stay afloat because they also sell costumes, gag gifts, etc. If they try to survive only on magic, it is a t...

Yes, the effect is killer. I like the flexibility of doing a PK-type presentation or the card reveal. I can see it fitting right into a mentalism presentation along with spoon or key bending, etc.

Of course the method is obvious, invisible cats.

I was reluctant to jump in here but I wanted to at least point out one thing that doesn't make sense regarding the most recent post. There is no mention whatsoever of the word Foxy in the airship magic ad. None. That name is used on similar designs on the RNT2 website, a separate company. So I don't...

From Wikipedia... History The term "magic" etymologically derives from the Greek word mageia (μαγεία). In ancient times, Greeks and Persians had been at war for centuries, and the Persian priests, called magosh in Persian, came to be known as magoi in Greek. Ritual acts of Persian priests ...
