Re: The Marlo-Masonic connection
Masons are heavily involved in the occult at the higher levels. Look up Manly P. Hall the secret teaching book and he explains it. He himself was a 33rd degree Mason. They keep their lower level members ignorant of the true nature of their dealing (the fact that it’s occult and their “god” is Lucife...

The Marlo-Masonic connection
I know a lot of magicians throughout history were and have been Masons. Was Marlo a mason? His work was littered with what seemed to me to be many occult references… even him capitalizing certain things that he never publicly gave a stringent definition for. His protege, Racherbaumer, who I believe ...

Some pretty incredible Marlo stuff—some of his classic stuff, some previously unreleased stuff as well.
It’s full of great classics as well as some of his lesser known stuff. I can personally attest to Cardician Makes Good—its a real stunner.

Marlo — The Final Cut
Does anyone have any idea when/if the third installment of the Marlo Trilogy, The Final Cut will be/if it has been released from Magic Inc? I hate to think I might have missed it.

Re: RCT back in stock?
I have heard so little about people tackling the content in this book... is it because it’s so advanced? It is really advanced... one move in this book would take several months of practice I’m sure but I believe a lot in this book has been vastly under-estimated and underused. The section on faro n...

What is the name of this top palm?
Hello all, A recent look at the palms in Expert Card Technique and trying each out has spurred my interest in the subject of card palming. I hardly ever palm during performances at this point (have never got past the initial nerves of being caught, and have refrained for fear of exposing such possib...

Re: RCT back in stock?
Update: I emailed Vanishing Magic and they said they expect to have it back in stock at the end of this month. I am very excited about it as I find myself becoming a move collector over a performer these days and that book is a collectors dream. Thanks everyone for all your responses and input. And ...

Re: Lessons in Card Mastery by Darwin Ortiz
Thank you Brad and Christopher respectively for your thoughtful and thorough replies. I suppose my background of what got me interested in Lessons in Card Mastery might fill you all in on why I asked the question in the first place--that is, why my excitement, etc. (and, as an extension to Brad's su...

Re: Lessons in Card Mastery by Darwin Ortiz
Still complete silence from the magic community in regard to the criticism of this work. I don't mean to bump, but can someone fill me in on why. Or explain why or what they like about the work.

RCT back in stock?
Does anyone happen to know off the top when Revolutionary Card technique will be reprinted? I used to have this book and through a process of very foolish decisions I still don’t understand, I no longer do. Now it’s out of print and I want it back and no one seems to have it available for standard p...

Perhaps someone can fill us in on such criticism or the overwhelming silence regarding Lessons in Card Mastery. 52 Pickup is one of the strongest effects you’ll see in my book.

Lessons in Card Mastery by Darwin Ortiz
What do you all think of this book? It’s a shame i don’t find much written about this book, Darwin’s most recent work. In my opinion, it is filled with some of Darwin’s greatest effects of all time. For some reason I’m prone to getting rid of magic books, so I actually just ordered it again because ...

Re: Question about how to ask for advice on here
My motivation for learning it is not for any utility or usage. I just love it for the way Marlo did it, and wanted to try to learn it to his level. You can see him doing it in the cardician film but in my opinion it looked best in the Art Weygandt film that can be found on YouTube. Just seemed to co...

Re: Question about how to ask for advice on here
We have no protocol--so do as you like! Post a link to the video. You should be able to embed videos here, but I've never been able to figure out how to do it. Thank you sir. https://youtu.be/w7p4mik2oV8 This is the D’amico second deal. For some reason I wanted to learn it for the sake of learning ...

Question about how to ask for advice on here
Hello,
I wanted to ask this community’s advice on a move I’ve been working on for a while now. Can I post a link to YouTube of the performance and have advice given that way? I just wanted to follow the protocol.

Re: The Trick with the Strongest Reaction from Laymen
Fast Company by Darwin Ortiz easily. I always use it as an opener in prepared settings. I am totally stumped as to why I don’t hear about anyone else performing it. Strongest intermediate level effect I know. One guy got up from his seat and said “this is some witchcraft (blank) right here”, running...

Re: Fast Company (Darwin Ortiz)
Thank you. That’s actually a great resource. I purchased that download a while back. I’d be interested in hearing other members performance stories. There’s gotta be someone out there who performs this one.

Fast Company (Darwin Ortiz)
This has quietly become my favorite effect to perform of all time. For those of you not familiar with it, a version can be found on YouTube under the name A Triumph and a Talk. I do have one curiousity regarding it however. I’ve never seen anyone else besides Darwin perform it or even so much as may...
