Besides the children's book by Kathy Kacer from 2014 mentioned above (more about it here: http://thechildrenswar.blogspot.de/2014/09/the-magician-of-auschwitz-by-kathy.html), there is also a play inspired by the story, "Nivelli's War" (2013) by Charles Way: http://htc.miami.edu/plays/nive...

Over in the thread about Werner Reich, it mentions that he had been in Auschwitz with Herbert Levin, who later performed as "Nivelli". Another name reversal.

I'm sure it will be a great get-together. Right now, it doesn't look like I'll be able to attend, but I will be there in spirit. There's much to be said for the big, something-for-everyone conventions like IBM Annual or Magic Live, but the small focused ones with hardcore attendees are also fun.

It had water damage. Plus, the description indicated more damage and defects, but the pictures didn't allow you to see how bad it was, which may have scared some bidders off. (and with premium, it went for $5280).

The previous copy was in much better condition.

I nervously went into an "Adult Novelties" store once, looking for some dental dam to try and make some acrobatic/flap cards. They had some, but it was expensive and it was peppermint scented.
