Re: The Unknown Life of Karl Fulves

Are you sure, Richard? While the content of the speech (the script/text of the talk, and any slides he may have used) would belong to Matt or his estate, if the recording was made by the Magic Circle, then the copyright to the recording would belong to them. Copyright resides in whoever makes the wo...

Ben's endorsement is a good thing, but when Matt died, his rights to the video would go to his estate. So wouldn't his widow's permission be necessary at this point (or other living family member?)

It turns out he also wrote (and self-published) a book about the adaptation of his book into Nolan's movie. Prices on Amazon are sky high, but an acquaintance is going to check with his widow (after an appropriate wait) to see if it is still available. I'll post here when I find out.

Just curious if there are any extant examples of this supposed swindle that anyone has found;in other words, an author's name, which when reversed gives an apparently legitimate name, but is in fact still a pseudonym for the real author. I'm looking at you, Bill Mullins... In every example of a rev...

I've been researching the psychological force of a drawing of a circle inside a triangle. It's often associated with Uri Geller (Randi's 1975 book on Geller has him using it as early as 1972). He lectured for our local club maybe 20 years ago. Walked in, took out a big bottle of Elmer's glue, squirted some in his hands, and rubbed it through his hair like styling mousse. (It turns out that hair cream looks a lot like Elmer's glue.)

Great lecture.
