Richard - as the editor of the world’s finest magic publication I feel you should ensure all that references to gender should be eliminated in future. As a first step, you should immediately change your surname to Kaufperson or preferably Kauf-nongenderspecificindividual. Andrew P.S. As the name And...

It so happened I came across the Fool Us clip the day before this thread was kicked off by Christian and I was impressed, even although the presence of ‘the bag’ didn’t quite sit right with me. I understand the name Emma Peel came from the producers/writer (Brian Clemens?) wanting the female character to have 'M Appeal'. (Yeah Baby yeah!) And not to forget Joanna Lumley as Purdey in The New Avengers. And probably best to forget Ralph Fiennes, Una Thurman and Sean Connery in The Avengers mo...

I suppose that proves that Nostalgia ain’t what it used to be...

The ‘vent’ David Copperfield found fame in the 80’s in a BBC sketch show called Three of a Kind, which also starred (Sir) Lenny Henry and Tracey Ullman. While the latter pair went on to bigger and better things, the British DC disappeared into obscurity. Wayne Dobson also used to do a similar piece ...
